I got out of the country three times. A feat considering (besides Canada) the last time I’d been traveling was when I was just a mere 14 year old. Cheers to the hottest and most delicious place in the whole wide wide world: Mexico. by @___prawnstar

S/V Snow Dragon II on the Outer Coast(on Lingít Aaní ). We collected sea asparagus and lingonberries as we explored this island and pretended this arch was a portal to a different world. by @___prawnstar

I woke up one morning and couldn’t shake the feeling that I needed to go to the Grand Canyon. Random? Yes. Have I ever wanted to go before? No. I don’t particularly like the heat. And I don’t particularly like crowds. On a whim, I looked up tickets. Less than $300 round trip. The backcountry permits you need to secure a year in advance? Only available the dates I was available. I decided to go. Day one: North Rim- 14.3 miles descent to the canyon floor. Honestly never thought I’d be doing this kind of job... but here I am, helping rehabilitate at-risk youth by exposing them to healthy risks in the wild. (And 2 of them so far like talking about birds!) Thankful for this opportunity, growth, friendships, and newly found muscles. But most of all, thankful to be exploring and sharing more of this magical place I get to call home. by @___prawnstar
