A night of forward-thinking, genre-bending experimental electronica in an inner-city creative space.

Aptly coined as “an all to the floor escapade into electronic music and its effect on the mind and the senses”, the Naarm-based record label, mix and event series has time and time again proved to be a staple among underground electronic music enthusiasts on home turf and beyond.

To us, Steeplejack is a study of underground electronic music in the unique social and cultural contexts it was created within; hand-picked, locally sourced and expertly crafted into an near-encyclopaedic form for you to digest.

Curated by Harold, the record label has been the driving force for many, at the time, up and coming artists in Naarm and boasts a steady catalogue of releases since 2015 with involving: Cutting Room, Reptant, OK EG, DBR and Sam Brickel.

Now proudly 10 years strong and ever-growing, we’re thrilled to announce a night of Steeplejack to highlight the profound auditory impact the label has had on us, and will soon have on you ❤

Going up’s the best part! So we’re getting lofty with Echo & Bounce to bring you DR. Banana.

With a highly influential record label under their namesake, and as co-founder of Ba Dum Tish with Alec Falconer, Dr Banana is more than just a DJ, but a quintessential component of the worldwide UK Garage resurgence. Offering rare represses and new releases with the quality to match, you can expect tracks that extend past fads and belong behind the secret doors of the best collections. It’s a UK ting, so get ready to make like a deck of cards and shuffle!

The best dances are always a bit naughty, so we’re keeping it going past bedtime until 5 AM… and with a beefed-up sound system, you can know that it’ll be more than just a late finish ;)

5 AM finishes don’t come around often in our big country town, so strike while the iron’s hot and get involved with tickets before they’re gone. Echo & Bounce’s loft can only hold 150 people — trust us you will want to be one of them.

Soap parties are for good times. Please bring the good times with you and leave the dick head at the door.

Respect the space and each other. If anyone isn’t, please notify security, staff, or the Soap team.
