Disclaimer: this is my shit and it wasn’t taught to me by anyone but it works for me. This is not an introduction to the three yanas of Buddhism and if you’re interested in that go find a teacher! But just like a lot of what I share on this page, these are frameworks I’ve absorbed over the years and they help me understand my experience. I’m here to answer any Q’s that I can or send you in the right direction. by @___superlotus___

Of course being in the material world is allowed. And you can be experiencing any realm on the red carpet or in a private jet.

The God Realm is a state of mind where the “solution” is always near at hand, and where one gets to choose how one feels whenever one wants. And that’s exactly why it’s a difficult place to escape this game: you can’t think of a reason to because you’re resourced enough to brush away any problem that arises.

At the center of the wheel of samsara are craving, aversion, and ignorance; the three poisons which are at the center of all of our suffering. Between these and the six realms, there is a circle split into “descending and rising.” This represents the chutes and ladders of samsara.

As long as we are clinging to what feels good or pushing away what feels bad, we are rising or falling between realms. Because addiction is just an acute form of this process, the speed with which we rise or fall increases. This produces the yo-yo effect of addiction. We can feel like gods one second and be burning up or freezing in hells the next.

The ticket out is in the moment between feeling and craving (or aversion, which is craving for the absence of something). That is the split point. So the ticket out of the loop is best practiced through meditation.

Getting to the cushion requires at least some balance in the energies of our life. This is where I’m bringing in the five elements. Follow as I dissect the stability of earth, the clarity of water, the connection of fire, the movement of wind, and the rest found in space. by @___superlotus___

PART II: The Wheel of Samsara as a Map of Addiction

I’m not going into great detail about all of the imagery of the six realms but if there’s interest I can do that at a later time. by @___superlotus___
