Whether he's recording as Farben, Gramm, or other monikers, Jelinek always jumps out of the speakers. He has an almost preternatural ability to burrow inside glitches and surface noise and emerge with the emotional heart of the sound.
His conception of sound, which is one of the most breathtakingly original and creative going, also proves itself to be robust and adaptable to experiment.

To further explore the work of German composer Jan Jelinek, a guided listening session will take place at Mouhit Space, Sunday 25th at 7pm.

Through the act of intentional listening, this series of gatherings aims to initiate musical footnotes that generate more creative dialogue.

In collaboration with Mouhit Space, we're doing a cyclic gathering consisting of listening sessions revolving around artists, movements or cultural events that inspire us.

For the first one we'll be exploring the strange sound of COIL as well as the musical context in which it exists.

Through the act of intentional listening, this gathering has the goal of initiating musical footnotes that generate more creative dialogue.

The event will take place in Mouhit Space (15 rue Chaambi, Menzah 1) on April 9th from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
