At twelve years old, Kia is preparing to leave Banggai, the island where she grew up, to pursue a future she cannot find there.

Her final days before departure unfold through moments that take on an almost ritual significance: she swims among coral reefs and tropical fish, climbs trees to pick fruit, and plays in the waters of cascading waterfalls. Without realizing it, she is saying goodbye to her childhood for the last time.

With hope in her eyes and an inevitable trace of melancholy, Kia gently embraces her family and leaves behind her beloved island the only world she has ever known.

At the Shaolin Temple, kung fu became more than martial arts for Shi Yanhao, it became a way of seeing the world.

As a 34th-generation inheritor of Shaolin Kung Fu, he reflects on how training alongside masters of great wisdom reshaped not only his skills, but his character. The deeper he went, the more he realized how little he truly knew.

“There is a mountain behind a mountain. A heaven behind a heaven.”

A reminder that no matter how far we come, there is always another level to reach, another lesson to learn. Growth is endless but so is gratitude. The goal isn’t to have everything. It’s to appreciate where you are while remaining open to what lies ahead.
