Took a little break from gigs and posting on social media over August. Was living life and spending time with family and friends. Did a couple of gigs here and there so still kept the juices flowing but now it’s September I’ve got the hunger for it all again and will be ramping up my comedy gigs again. Out of the office at six, in your seat by 7.25, in the pub downstairs by half nine. Ten quid.

That's Live at the White Hart, our comedy night in Southwark on the last Thursday of the month, and this is one of the strongest bills we've had on.

Kyle Brownrigg, a Canadian in London with razor sharp jokes and a JUNO Award.

Nick Everritt, alternative, droll and completely his own thing, runner-up in British Comedian of the Year 2023.

Don Biswas on his ADHD, his upbringing and his conspiracy theories, fresh from a BBC Radio 4 special.

Danielle Scott doing characters and one story you'll be glad wasn't yours. She took her darkly funny, autobiographical one-woman show, Sour Candi to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Julius Howe hosts, as ever. "A true hit. Julius embodies the generational voice of so many" - North West End.

Last night at GONGZILLA ! 2nd gong show and I lasted longer than Beat the Blackout, got to around the 4min mark. I got gonged off on the SAME part of the set which I had reordered for this gig. Which tells me something very important. That bit needs to get in the bin! It’s stuck around from my very first gigs so yeah… time to say goodbye! Gong shows, I’m learning, are very valuable for getting honest feedback and helping you to get better quicker. I think I’m now obsessed with gong shows 🤣 thanks @hotcomedycamden and @thedavidgersch for hosting a fun night and @isaackirby for the fab pics. 1st GONG SHOW done ✔️
@beattheblackout was wild 🤣 I didn’t beat it, but I survived after the 2 min grace period by 38 seconds! A grand total of 2:38 before I got gonged off. Finally watched it back and I would have gonged me off then too! Things I learned-

* 1st gong show feels as nerve wracking as 1st ever gig!
* Panic changing your set on the day is a BAD idea, you lose rhythm and flow.
* Opener wasn’t tight enough, too rambly, was still working on it that day, now I’ve tightened it.
* Delivery was a bit off, nerves were nerving!
* If an audience member shouts ‘show us your tits’ on your second line, try not to let it derail you!
* It’s a great way to push yourself out of your comfort zone in front of a real and lively audience.
* Watching the acts who beat it is a great way to learn.
* Watching footage back is painful but genuinely helpful.
* Most importantly- it was fun! And I’m booked to do another one. by @__danielle__scott__
