Hokusai museum, Obuse. Nagano. Beautiful drawings and woodcuts. I love his perspectives, his colour ways and his utterly charming titles! #hokusaimuseum #bridgesandwaterfalls #woodblockprints #wateryworlds #obuse

The majesty of trees and the stillness of lakes quiets my racy, restless ways. Togakushi Shrine walk with a detour to Kotoriga-ike lake, Nagano, Japan. #togakushi #kotorigaike #meditations #splendourbender #cedarforest by @__debkwilliams__

More tiny stitches. Little abstractions. Imaginary aerial maps of my local community. A lot of construction, not a lot of parks, but hints of green. 12cm x 12cm #tentstitch #aerialmaps #localneighbourhood #constructioneruption #abstract by @__debkwilliams__

A Bronson Lace weave, an old weave with a few names. In Scandivavia, it is called Droppdrall, in Germany it is known as Gerstenkornbindung, while in the US, it’s also known as Barleycorn. It’s light and airy and when l mix pink and red together with a touch of green, l get Berries with a sprinkle of Pistachio. Very Spring! #bronsonlaceweave #pinkredgreen #cotton #sampler #spinweavevic by @__debkwilliams__

Hundreds of tiny stitches. Filling in some negative space with some brown two ply. Looks kinda celestial and space crafty. Or an arial map of a weird apartment block. You decide. #tinystitches #negativespace #browntwoply #abstractiondistraction #mappingtheplanet by @__debkwilliams__

Exploring weaving structures is so, so satisfying. This is a loose, airy affair, inspired by the burning of large wood piles on a farm l regularly visit. Charcoal blacks, ash greys, dirty browns, vivid reds and oranges and the blue of the blue, blue sky. #burnpiles #looseandbreezy #weaving #wallworks #cottonsilklinenraffia by @__debkwilliams__
