Happy Birthday to the man no other man can compare to in my eyes 🎂 🎂 🎂

A man whose strength isn't loud... it's consistent. A man who has spent the last five years carrying our family without complaint. Every bill. Every sacrifice. Every responsibility because loving his family is one of his greatest joys.

The calm in our chaos. The anchor of our home. A protector. A servant leader. A man of integrity. A man of valor. Gentle without being weak. Firm without being harsh. Humble without needing recognition. The kind of man who never has to raise his voice to command respect because his character already does.

The safest place my heart has ever known. The father. The best friend. My peace. My answered prayer. Mr. Poundtown 😏

You Keep life interesting, keep me laughing and still knows exactly how to make me blush after all these years.

Thank you for loving me through every version of me while I grew into the woman and wife I wanted to become.

You taught me that real masculinity isn't found in dominance, it's found in consistency. In showing up. In keeping your word. In making your family feel safe.

God knew exactly what He was doing when He gave us you, and I'll spend the rest of my life thanking God for it.

Happy Father's Day to my husband 💚💚💚

Thank you for loving our boys, leading our family, and showing up every day with patience, consistency, and devotion. Watching you be a father is one of my greatest blessings so much so I think a little girl would be blessed to call you her dad 🤣😉.

Happy Anniversary to the man I would find in every lifetime.
If love stories are written in the stars, then ours was etched into the hands of God long before either of us knew the other's name.

I get to grow up, love, and become exactly who God formed with you in covenant.

You are still my favorite chapter and I'm so thankful we have experienced hundreds together already and thousands more to go.

I came home from the FSU track meet and my husband surprised me with this 🥹
“Devoted with Dee” … but what really got me wasn’t the sign.
It was the heart behind it.
To be loved by a man who is devoted not just to us, but to the vision God placed inside of me… that’s different.
That’s partnership. That’s covering. That’s intentional love.
I don’t take that lightly. 🤍

And to Brittney he's all yours girl.....

Eight years ago my best friend sat across from me at lunch and told me he had his eyes on a girl named Brittany. She was athletic, someone he remembered from school, and the first woman who had really caught his attention in a while. I was genuinely happy for him.
What he didn’t know was that a few months earlier I had a dream. In it, he and I were married, and I was the happiest I had ever been. I woke up confused because this was my best friend since high school the man who had only ever given me pure platonic love. The same man my son called Uncle Tez. I even joked with my mentor that morning that I’d take that dream to the grave because I would never risk our friendship like that. Also at the time I was dating someone else.
Well… apparently that plan didn’t make it to the grave.
Fast forward to March 12th. We’re at our regular best-friend lunch and he says,
“Dee, I decided I’m going to ask Brittany to be my girl.”
My heart dropped.
Then he says, “I never showed you a picture of Brittany, have I?”
He passes me his phone. The camera is open. I tell him, “Your phone is on the camera.”
He says, “I know.”
That’s when it hit me.
I was Brittany the whole time.
God had been planting seeds long before either of us realized it, we truly were besties.
My best friend since high school looked at me that day and said,
“Dee, I can love you better than anyone else if you give me a chance and with only a dream as evidence of what could be"
For the last 8 years, he’s been proving it.
Life really said plot twist with this one.
Happy anniversary baby. I’d choose you every single time. ♾️❤️

Our creator has a funny way of reminding you that capability expands whenever curiosity decides to wander.

I was told that by your mid-thirties you should have a signature hair color, so I made my own using my favorite colors brown and blonde.

First time bleaching a wig. Did my own makeup and lashes too. Idk why I shock myself when I succeed in ideas...then again… I’m the same girl who made her own wedding dress 😭 There's really nothing I can't do 💟✝️♾️.

24 years in the game…
All because I stood up to a bully, defending myself by picking up a shot. What felt random back then was already written. And God has been unfolding it ever since.
From Druid Hills, first as an athlete, then as a coach. That will forever be home.

In 2022, I stepped out on faith and became a private coach. I didn’t announce it. I didn’t post it for business. I just moved when I felt called… and God did the rest.
He’s been faithful.
I’ve been blessed to coach all over Atlanta, across Georgia from Atlanta to Albany and now other states.

Public school and private school athletes. Different backgrounds. Same purpose.

When God calls you, He positions you.
I went from being a lay coach for years so you know it was never about the money to being paid hourly for the same skill set I’ve been sharpening since 2002. The throws have been part of my life for over 20 years. It filled me more in ways that financially could never matter. It’s even where my love story with @king_smith92 began. Now we’re building legacies. Elias for sure. GJ… if he chooses 😂

I’m more than a coach. I'm a safe place.
I was called to this.

And shout-out to my old teammate who thought of me when the position at Pace opened up, after my Achilles tear all I could think about was getting in that circle again. God heard, you answered.

Cheers to what’s next… only God knows 😉
