“Got the heart of a giant, don’t you ever forget. Don’t you never forget.” My daddy always called me a superstar from the time I could remember, and still does to this very day. As a human navigating this life like everyone else most times it’s really easy to forget the power of your heart posture, and the strength it takes to remember who you are and lead from there. This season I’ve been reminded of exactly that, my power; my strength and that God will position you towards that. This is for little Crystal, who used to day dream so much about the life she has now. For the little black girl sitting in her grandmother’s tiny two bedroom apartment dreaming about what it feels like to find her light and shine. I’m still in awe that I get to tell my story, I get to create on my own terms, I’m blessed enough to even be given the opportunity to create in more than just one way. I’m starting to think there isn’t enough gratitude 🥹🙏🏽
