Some highlights from last weekend seeing @phish. It was such a stunning venue. Cresting that hill for the first time to see views of the Columbia at sunset combined with the anticipation of live music is not something I’ll soon forget! So grateful to check that one off the bucket list in such great company. 🤙💜 by @__do.mo____

after receiving a vaccine yesterday i started thinking about this past year a bit and wanted to share this photo I took on 3/25/2020. This mural in my opinion was a foreshadow for the year to come. The artist I imagine (unless he or she is some sort of time traveling wizard) had no idea that the pandemic would stretch on this long, disproportionately effecting people of color. more importantly that our country would experience a social movement, protests and riots spurned on by the unnecessary deaths of Taylor and Floyd among others. Slavery, legally speaking, was abolished in 1865, but the mistreatment and killing of BIPOC people is very much alive and well in today’s society. It lives in plain sight with an us and them mentality that so many hold. I have had the privilege of experiencing the most transformative year of my life during all this, while most people were sheltering in place I took to the woods to take a walk. It was liberating. On this walk I had some time to think, and listen. What I’ve come to find out is that even under the 13th and 14th amendment not all people are created equal and I am writing this in the hope that maybe one person could be swayed to become a little more open minded and to remind myself to stay humble and remain teachable. Now here’s a sweet quote I just googled:
“You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom.” -Malcom X. ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 taken in Hill 88 by @__do.mo____
