I’m +1 today and I am grateful to be here and grateful for another year. This birthday is different. I feel like I am entering a new life. One where I have to re learn everything. For me, losing the woman who knows me best has also been losing a part of my soul, a part of myself that I simply can never replace. 28 was the worst year of my life. I suffered physically, emotionally and more than anything mentally. I was functioning daily on the outside and dying daily on the inside. It was the most unexpected year with the most unexpected outcome. As painful as it has been, I’ve learned a new part of myself. I hate that it took what it did for me to experience this new self but life has a way of showing you things in unimaginable ways. I am entering 29 today and I can truly say that I’m proud of myself for making it here, for pushing through and for being the strongest version of myself on a daily basis. Everyday is a new experience and as I heal and find peace in this new life I only hope to continue to grow, to be strong and to become everything God has destined for me to be. Thank you so much to my tribe for carrying me on your back. There is no me without you. Thank you for every call, every text, every prayer, every check up. There are no words to express how deeply grateful I am. 29, I’m begging you, please good to me. Mommy I love you with every fiber of my being. Yesterday made 1 year of the best decision I’ve ever made🤍

Four years ago yesterday I sat across a guy at a dinner I wasn’t going to go to. My mom had just been diagnosed and I was trying to navigate what life was going to look like. I hadn’t told anyone and decided to spend the day processing. @_desbanks texted asking if I was going to @jessicadansotv dinner and I told her no one knows I’m home. Once Jess found out I was home they both told me to come. My mom told me to go ahead and enjoy myself. Little did I know that moment would change my life forever.

1 year married to the love of my life. The man God sent to literally save me in my darkest hour. The man who never misses an opportunity to tell me how much he loves me. The man who pushes me to my fullest potential and supports every single thing I do. I could in fact go on and on about how much I love you and how incredible you are. Thank you baby for the best years and to think we have so many more to go. Mommy God answered every single one of your prayers. Thank you God for giving me a husband that loves me like you love me🥺

2025, thank you for showing me so much love🥹🫶🏽 what a year. God you have been so good to me and continue to show me that no matter what you are God and you are good even in the midst of tough moments. Thank you so much to everyone who showed us SO much love this year. Our village is literally unmatched, my God. It means the world to us. I pray 2026 is a year that redeems all that was lost in the communities near and far. May God almighty do the best we’ve seen thus far. Cheers to many more memories, blessings and even more love. 🫶🏽

I still don’t know which of my bridal looks has been my favorite thus far. But I loved my civil look so so much. Once I saw this @bronxandbanco dress it was an immediate yes🤍
