Before they won their first contract, players in the emerging United Football League lacked adequate health insurance despite the demanding physical toll of their profession.

In Episode 3 of the Sports Solidarity podcast, host Harry Marino sits down with UFL player-leaders Kenneth Farrow II, Jack Kramer, and Kedrick Whitehead Jr. to discuss the players' first collective bargaining agreement — and how players across the league united to make it happen. It’s been a week since leaving the @proathletecommunity event in Arizona. I’ve needed every day since to process and reflect on how amazing this group of special people are, showing up to support us athletes in this community that just continues to grow. The number of people I saw last week that I’ve known for 10+ years brought me pure joy.

I was honored to receive an award from @s.richburg_ and @keytravis13. I’ve appreciated and valued every minute of time I’ve spent with everyone in this community since joining PAC in Austin in 2024. When I showed up a year and a half ago, I asked @keytravis13 if I could speak about what we were trying to accomplish at @unitedfbplayers. Less than two years later, ALL of our members will have access to this community to share the opportunities to INVEST, CULTIVATE, and ELEVATE through an amazing partnership we’ve created. Being the first players’ union in sports to officially join forces with @proathletecommunity is something I am extremely proud of.

We’ve shed tears, we’ve shared struggles, we’ve shared major milestones and major accomplishments, and day after day we’ve supported each other from a place of pure love. I’m forever grateful to everyone who’s joined this community and poured life into every conversation. I know this is only the beginning. To @kalebthornhill_pac, @chippaucek, and @keytravis13, I can’t thank you enough, because this is more than a community navigating steps after their sport—this is a safe space and a place where growth, healing, and elevation are being cultivated. The culture is elite, and nobody is doing it better ✊🏽
