The new new from @revealcellcam is quite good. Biggest take away? Best battery life on the market. Less time tromping in bedding and high traffic areas. Better intel. A better tool for your kit. by @__heavykevy__

The world and our community lost a hell of a kid.

Kole was an infectious person. With a deep love for the river and the woods. He could chat up anybody, didn’t matter if they were a toddler or an old man. And mostly, he was one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met.

He was quick to give and to share- waypoints, hand tied flies, a story, and his time. Remarkable for such a young buck.

I was, and still am, in awe of his relationship with his Dad. Their partnership in the woods and on a boat. Chad, you’re a hell of Dad.

Selfishly, I saw a lot of myself in Kole. A “do it his way” kind of kid in awe of what was possible if you just “went”. He was, and is, a reminder to just go.

Kole told me once that he loved catching fish, but he loved even more to watch them swim away.

We love you buddy. by @__heavykevy__

Hunting underwater is an exercise in brain, body, and breath. Its totally new to me. It’s exhilarating and fulfilling, but difficult to manage all the pieces at once. Seems like a good idea to continue to do hard things. Especially in an iconic place, with a group of men like this. by @__heavykevy__

Kevin Harlander, seen here consoling Jesse after a gun malfunction resulted in a missed opportunity at a very curious gobbler, has been a friend and turkey hunting mentor for years. @__heavykevy__ knows when to sit still and when to be aggressive in looking for birds, and gets after them confidently from Texas to Oregon.

Thank you for being a part of The Turkey Book journey, Kevin and letting us walk in your postholes.

$A few frames from the past year. Had the fellas out for a snowy turkey opener. We ate great, did a little post-hole maneuvering, and managed to trick a couple long beards. Special group of men that have taught me a lot. {April, 2023} Photo: @samaverett by @__heavykevy__$
