Clicked in 2019 November, When I took Amma to Kodachadri. When her 14 year old desire to climb Kodachadri was accomplished. I remember she was wheezing on the way, yeah she is asthmatic but was not ready to slow down even by a single step until she reached the top. A that moment, I experienced the biggest ever ecstasy of my life.
Amma is a human being who have all the human feelings, who may have traumas and insecurities, who could have made mistakes, who can be wrong in times, who has emotional liabilities, who is socially conditioned like us, like every human being, like every other mother.
Amma lived from her childhood to young age like an orphan. When I was 3 months, she got her job and she have to complete all her household works before the 6AM train. When I was 4, she was the only earning member in the family. She still managed everything herself.
When you glorify your mother with the food they cook for you, the care they give and all you are doing nothing but exploiting her for you to not to do things your own. This guilt in your subconscious will make you blindly accept her wrong decisions without any disagreement.
Cooking, cleaning etc are life skills and running a family is a collective responsibility. Let’s start from our home. taken in Kodachadri by @__incomplete___
