Yesterday I ticked another massive goal off the list being the first time skidding my car!! 1st, number one, numero UNO!

I decided to book a @skid_control wetpan session to get a feel for the car without too much wear and tear and also being easy to drive with my stock setup

With no idea at all what to expect other than knowing I definitely had a feel for what to do from being in cars watching footage and advice from friends but no idea how to actually put it in practice and do the thing!!

I kept telling myself no matter comes from the day I have ticket a massive goal off setting my car up to drift and getting it on the track, after a few sessions of feeling lost frustrated and with no idea wtf I was doing finally by the last session I got a bit of a feel and idea of what the cars meant to be doing and how to react

Throughout the day I had to remind myself to be patient learning something new and not too hard on myself, at the end of the day I can say I did it and that’s enough!! But I’m happy that I did end up getting something out of the morning, big thank you to @_mykul__ and the skid control guys for their patience while my brain comprehend and process what i was meant to be doing 🤣

I had an issue during the day with my car, which at first I didn’t even know was happening so another learning curve is figuring out if my car is actually running properly or not..
1st session I realised my car stalled and I didn’t turn traction control back off so feel like it wasn’t doing what I wanted because of that, second session I tried to drive in 1st but the car was cutting at boost so continued driving in 2nd but just felt shit and laggy.. I had a couple more sessions until we realised my air filter was sucking in water and turns out that was definitely the reason for the issue, so the last session I tried again in 1st and was able to make the car somewhat do what I wanted it to do but unfortunately didn’t get any more time to work on it

Successful day all round I’m so grateful to be able to learn new skills and have fun along the way while doing it! by @__jesszx

I wanted to make a special post for my soul sistas birthday today (also an excuse to post all the amazing memories we have together hehe)

Adrienn reminds me of all the good in the world, and even though we’ve always been so far from each other she constantly makes me feel not so alone

All of our unforgettable experiences together and the connection we have will be something I hold close to my heart. I can’t wait to see where our lives take us and all the rest of the adventures we will have!

Thank you for being so real, understanding me and also sharing new perspectives. I’m so grateful to have inspiring friends and friends that motivate me to live a better life and showing me first hand that it’s possible

Hope you have the best day @adrienntess sending my love and hugs and kisses around the globe 💖 by @__jesszx

Lessons learnt from my first mtb trail ride 😆

Check air in tyres before ride
Wear better shoes
Stand up the whole time
Walk it off after a stack
Just keep going

2 mins into the ride realised my tyres were low on air lol unintentionally made it more challenging for myself, only stacked it once smashing my 🐱 bone into the frame but nothing a bit of a walk and a few ouches out loud didn’t fix, shoes filled with sticks rocks and shit along the way, legs are the suspension gotta stand up the whole time definitely could have pumped it out quicker but needed to regroup a few times but kept on going!!

After years of trail riding on motos thought why not try it out on the Mountain Bike and definitely humbled on the easy track but was a somewhat successful first ride

Keen to do this one again now I know what to expect and looking forward to checking out all the other tracks up here
