Game 2 ⚽️🥹

What a difference one week can make.

Last week was tough. Today she was smiling, playing almost the whole game, and looking so much more comfortable out there.

We’re so proud of the effort she gave today and how she kept trying.

Seeing her enjoy herself was the best part. ❤️

First soccer game ✅😂

She played maybe 5–10 minutes, there were plenty of tears, and soccer definitely wasn’t her favorite thing today.

But she’s 4. It was her first game. We showed up, gave it a try, and apparently birthday cupcakes can fix just about anything. 🧁⚽️

We’ll try again next week.

A little life update from Lost Lands.

This week has looked completely different than the last few months and I’m good with that.

Grateful for my wife, good friends, and getting to make memories outside of the usual routine.

First half marathon ✅

1:56:08 • 6th overall • 1st in my age group 🥇

Didn’t hit the sub-1:50 goal, but I’m still incredibly proud of this one.

More than anything, I’m grateful.

Grateful to God for giving me the ability to run, move, and keep going when the race got hard.

Grateful for my family being there to support me and experience this with me.

And grateful for how much can change in a year. Running 13.1 wasn’t even on my radar not long ago and today I crossed the finish line of my first official half marathon.

There will be time to break down the race, learn from the cramps, and chase the next goal.

Today I’m just thankful.

Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Seeing you grow and accomplish the things you have done has been amazing. I see the work God is currently doing in your life and I’m so excited to see what this next year has in store for you. Without you, this family wouldn’t be where it is today. For our daughter’s fourth birthday, we decided it was time for a bike upgrade. 🚲

She was so excited that she didn’t want to wait for me to finish building it.

She wanted to open the box, inspect every piece, hand me the tools and be involved in the entire process.

It didn’t take us long to build, but that time together became one of my favorite parts of her birthday.

The bike was the gift.

Building it together was the memory.

As parents, we can become so focused on creating the finished moment that we forget how meaningful it can be to invite our children into the process.

She was proud of that bike before she ever started riding it because she helped Daddy build it. ❤️

These are the moments I don’t want to rush through.

This past weekend, we got to celebrate our little girl turning 4 with the people who mean the most to us. ❤️🎈

Her birthday was last week, but getting everyone together to celebrate her made this weekend so special.

Watching her laugh, play with her friends, and be surrounded by so much love was a reminder of just how quickly these years are flying by.

Being your parents has been one of the greatest blessings God has ever given us.

Our prayer is that you always know how deeply you’re loved, continue to grow in kindness, and one day come to know and follow Jesus with all your heart.

Happy 4th Birthday, sweet girl. Thank you to everyone who came, celebrated with us, and helped make this weekend one she’ll never forget.
