Last month I had the honor to compose the soundtrack to @ophelienapoli.studio ‘s solo exhibition at @paramour.bxl 🧱

Today’s Spotlight: Massi NPL

London based artist Massi NPL has spent close to a decade honing his craft as a
producer and DJ in both the dance and ambient realms. First appearing in Los Angeles’
underground scene, he’s held residencies at various rave series and parties before going
on to perform internationally from Hong Kong to New York. His appearances include
iconic venues such as Bossa Nova Civic Club and Jewel’s Catch One, alongside
household names like Exos and Takaaki Itoh.
He has provided guest mixes on The Lot Radio, Radio Alhara, FM Belowground and NTS,
and now hosts a monthly show on Noods Radio. His versatile selections are eclectic yet
purposeful, influenced by his multicultural background and nomadic upbringing.
His latest EP on London label herah has been hailed as “a wonderful cluster of ambient
club adjacent works” by Rough Trade, and “ambient techno computer music akin
Monolake [...] three pieces of finely layered field recordings and vapourised rave
ephemera.” by Boomkat.

Fields returns to @noodsradio this coming Monday with a very special guest mix by New York based artist Michael Thorson (@grizzlymikeofficial) focusing on his last morning commute in NYC 💐

"Commuting in New York is a funeral canticle in late summer. Every day, I wake up dreaming, I drink my tea, I walk down my stairs, I walk to the subway, I catch a train, I scroll on my phone, I cross a canal street, and I take an elevator to the 14th floor— the sound of each step carries me further from my morning’s dreams."

Working across a variety of materials including music, sound, installation and ceramics, Michael Thorson seeks to construct moments worth pausing for through patient experimentation. He hosts a monthly ambient radio show After ______ on @desirepath.radio , organizes a festival called Cabin Fever (@cabinfever.wy) in Wyoming, and studies sound with Harvestworks NYC. taken in New York, N.Y. by @__mssnpl__

Fields returns to @noodradio next Monday the 27th with with special guest @dian.nao.xin taking you on a surreal ride through Las Vegas 🫪🎲

“This show was inspired by a trip to Las Vegas this summer in 100+ degree heat — days spent bouncing between hotels and endless capitalist mega-malls, retail mazes built to swallow you and keep you spending, and long drives out through the raw natural beauty of the Mojave desert. The set mixes ambient casino foley with old and new favorites - haunting synths, sun-damaged tape warps into chopped-and-screwed rap - the sound of a strip club in hell. Tempos drag and excess melts into sludge before dissolving into dreamy melodies that blur and swell into the long late-night comedown after the neon burns.”

Dian Nao Xin (fka One Child Policy) is the moniker of Dennis Ruowei Cao / 曹偌伟 — a Los
Angeles–based producer, sound designer, DJ and software engineer, raised by two Chinese electronics engineers who sparked his love of electronic music early on. He releases through his own label Dian Nao【电脑】and others including Black Lodge (LA), Guangzhou Underground, Arca’s Mutants Mixtape and Acid Camp, with support from Resident Advisor, Mixmag, Pitchfork and Apple Music, plus radio play on Rinse FM, NTS and The Lot Radio. In 2025 he released Qiē, a song-deconstruction and stem-splitting tool for producers and DJs. Two DJs in one edition this week, because sometimes one isn’t enough.

@__mssnpl__ is a London-based producer and DJ who’s spent close to a decade honing his craft across dance and ambient music. His EP Fragments dropped in 2025. He hosts Fields every month on @noodsradio and has played in Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong and New York.

@hostmigrate is a South East London-based producer and DJ with an expansive approach to live performance, music technology and genre collision. His album On Principle came out in 2024, with a remix pack following in 2025. Regularly on @loose.fm and @blooplondon

Together: dub techno, house, garage, techno and experimental electronics. A four-hour b2b at @thegreyhound.uk basement in Peckham (one of London’s best small rooms) presented by Matter.

Plus, Jake’s honest take on @galleryclublondon “West London clubs have long had a reputation for attracting people who are there to be seen as much as they are to dance. It’s an unfair stereotype in plenty of cases, and I hoped Gallery would prove it wrong. But clubs aren’t built on how they look or their bookings. They’re built on atmosphere.”

DJ and producer Hostmigrate blends the hypnotic loops and propulsive rhythms of techno and breakbeat with scattered ambient textures and grounded electronic tones. Taking influences from a wide variety of genres including dub techno, hardgroove, garage, and electronica, his extended DJ sets chart a course through colliding sonic scenes.

Massi NPL straddles the line between ambient and club realms, both in his productions and his DJ sets. Eclectic and purposeful, his mixes move effortlessly between techno, bass, dub, house, and ambient, weaving them into transportive journeys on the dance floor.
