One month a doctor. 🩺✨

Still feels weird to write that, because ten years led to this moment, and somehow it both flew by and felt like forever. Med school took a lot out of me, there were nights I didn’t think I’d make it, lessons I learned the hard way, decisions I’m still not 100% sure about and mistakes that ended up teaching me more than the wins ever did.

But somewhere in all that chaos was a lot of fun, there were friendships I wouldn’t trade for anything, and a kind of growth I didn’t even notice happening until I looked back and saw how far I’d come. I think that’s the thing nobody tells you, you rarely feel yourself changing in the moment, you just look up one day and realize the hard seasons were quietly shaping you the whole time.

And now I’m one month in, and in a way I’m starting all over again. New questions, no clear map, more unknowns than answers. But I’m choosing not to stress about having it all figured out, and just taking it one day at a time, trusting God with the rest.

So here’s to one month being a doctor and a lifetime of fun, learning and ease ahead🥂

Signed,
Dr Oni M.O
