Let’s get into some relational blind spots so we can see & be better in our relationships!

•
•
•
•

1. Mind Reading: Expecting others to know
what we need without
expressing them.

2. Minimizing needs: Pretending we are fine when we aren’t & resentment quietly builds.

3. Idealization: Falling in love with someone’s potential; not actual reality.

4. Conflict avoidance: Choosing silence to avoid tension, which then creates problems underneath & more resentment.

5. Attachment patterns: Being drawn to what feels familiar, not always what is healthy for you.

6. Responsibility: Seeing other people’s patterns but not seeing your own.

7. Emotional blindness: Confusing emotional intensity with intimacy & compatibility.

8. Unspoken expectations: Assuming certain rules & things you hold to are to be agreed on, without first talking about it.

9. Selective attention: only focusing on things that fit your narrative; while ignoring red flags.
