Four years ago we started @__sediment in hopes of connecting our island community to local commercial fishing. So often, the essence of coastal towns becomes eroded by tourism and leads people to question the integrity of who and what makes up their community. Up and down the East Coast, commercial fishing provides food, jobs, and connection to the sea. In the smallest town in the smallest state we wanted to revitalize our community’s connection to the small fishing fleet. So we started by serving our lobsters to people. We took the leap this year to expand on our vision and open Crudo Bar so that we could offer a wider variety of local fish. The 17hr days and no day off summer was surprisingly worth it. So much thought and hard work has gone into the past four years and we couldn’t be more grateful for the support we have recieved. We especially could not have done it without our amazing team and the phenomenal @jdoogler ! Now we rest. (Kinda) taken in Block Island by @__sediment
