POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

These last two years have stretched, challenged, and strengthened me in ways I never imagined, but through it all, God kept me covered and carried me through every storm.

This week, I officially became a part of the 9% of Black women who have earned a master’s degree, and I am beyond honored to be hooded with purpose. This journey required faith, resilience, sacrifice, and perseverance! Thank God I made it🥹🙏🏽

Grace carried me, BUT purpose pushed me🎓

Dearest gentle reader, (IYKYK😂)

The past three years at UAlbany have been nothing short of amazing. I’ve made meaningful connections, stepped out of my comfort zone, created lifelong friendships, and discovered my true self.

I want to make it clear that my achievements are not solely the result of hard work. God is the reason I am where I am today. What you see here is not just a dream fulfilled but a promise kept!

As I walked across the stage, I reflected on all the moments I wanted to give up and the times I doubted my ability to succeed. But God. Keeping God at the center of everything I do has truly made a difference in who I am and where I am today.

Someone once prophesied to me, saying, “Be patient in who I called you to be. Not many will accept the calling I have on your life, but be confident and steadfast in your identity in me. I am with you, and I am God.” God has been with me every step of the way, and without Him, I would be nothing.

I prayed and asked God what my next steps should be. After much contemplation and seeking his guidance, I decided that I wanted to get my masters in social work. With that said, this fall, I will be attending the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College 💜🤍.
