Me and Thishal playing with a vintage style. This shoot was fun because it was my first “photoshoot” where I was setting up each shot and finding the locations. It took us just over an hour to collect the shots, there’s a whole album of them but I lost most of the originals. I’m currently liking the black and white theme I have going on with my page, lots of my photos have great colours but I enjoy the simplicity of this. Let’s see if that changes in the future! by @__thishal__

Some postcard frames in last Abay Season | East Coast | Sri Lanka. ⛵️🌴 PALM & SHORE There’s something about palm lined shores that instantly feels like home. Warm light filtering through the leaves, soft wind, and that golden hour glow that makes everything look like a dream. These are the places where time slows down, where you forget the world and just breathe. Pure, warm, aesthetic paradise. FISHERMANS In Arugam Bay, the day begins long before the surfers wake up. At dawn, the local fishermen push their boats into the sea, carrying traditions passed down for generations. While Arugam Bay is known around the world for its waves, it’s these quiet, hardworking mornings that show the true soul of this village. A simple life, deeply connected to the ocean. QUITE & PEACE Surrounded by endless green paddy fields, these little houses hold so much peace. Far from the noise of the city, life here moves with the wind and the rain. Simple walls, open doors, and a view that changes with every season from bright green to golden harvest. This is the real, quiet beauty of Sri Lanka. MAIN POINT Main Point is the heart of Arugam Bay. The most famous surf spot on the east coast, where long, perfect right handers roll in one after another. From sunrise to sunset, the lineup is full, the vibe is unmatched, and every wave tells a different story. If Arugam Bay is paradise, Main Point is its center. PADA YATRA Every year, thousands of Hindu devotees walk for weeks, barefoot, all the way to Katharagama. They call it Pada Yatra. No shoes, no luxury, just pure faith under the burning sun. Passing through Arugam Bay and the east coast, their journey is one of the most powerful and spiritual sights you can witness in Sri Lanka. TUSKSERS Majestic, calm, and deeply respected elephants are the true giants of Sri Lanka’s wild. Whether seen crossing the roads near Arugam Bay or gathered by the lakes in the evening, every encounter feels special. Gentle yet powerful, they remind us that we are just guests in their home. SUNDOWN Arugam Bay sunsets never look the same twice. Some days the sky burns orange, some days it turns soft pink and purple. The sun drops slowly behind the by @__thishal__
