When I saw my XJ sitting there like this this morning, the choice was obvious. Come on, kids. We’re taking the Jeep to school today.

„Pack the XJ dad, we're going for a trip”

A few years ago this was just something I dreamed about. Now we’re actually living it.

And for her? Pure joy. Hard to ask for more than this.

After the alternator upgrade we figured it was time for a proper test run. First stop - Bory Tucholskie National Park. Tent up, crystal-clear creeks, nothing but forest. Then all the way to the sea, Hel.

The XJ didn’t miss a beat.

“I’m gonna live every minute of it.”

I don’t think that choice happens by accident. I think most of us can trace it back to one place.

This is mine.

Long before I owned a Jeep, my grandpa used to bring me here on dirt bikes. We’d spend hours riding through these woods, crossing this little river and disappearing into the forest.

Looking back now, I think this is where everything started.

My love for the outdoors.
My obsession with machines.
My passion for exploring places hidden from the world.

Years later, I came back here in my XJ.

Different vehicle.
Same river.
Same feeling.

Around here, this crossing has always been legendary among local off-road enthusiasts.

But for me, it’ll always be much more than just another trail.

It’s the place that quietly shaped the person I became.

Where did your passion begin?

It doesn’t have to be off-road.

If you have a photo of that place, post it in the comments that started it all. by @__veggy

Every now and then, the Jeep decides it doesn’t want to drive. Comes with the age, I guess.

At least this time it was nice enough to wait until after the trip.

I know this thing well enough now that I usually have a pretty good idea where to start. When an engine won’t start, it’s always back to basics: fuel, air and spark.

This time the diagnosis was pretty quick, key on, zero fuel at the fuel rail. So the fuel pump was the obvious suspect.

Luckily, I already had a spare pump and a new fuel filter sitting in the garage, so I went straight for the replacement.

The whole pump assembly and fuel tank are pretty tired at this point, so I’ll probably switch to a plastic tank and a different pump setup soon.

Old Jeep life.

Follow for more.

An ode to being a dad. The most important, challenging, and beautiful chapter of my life. Message here is to take them with you everywhere. Show them the world. Show them how you live and prove to them that absolutely nothing can stop them. My Jeep gives me the best bridge to do it all together and it’s only the beginning. Enjoy life guys ☀️ by @__veggy

I thought being rich meant having more. Turns out, all we need is a clean creek, untouched nature, and moments like this.
