/a kind of: “Impostor”
———
When you superimpose others’ gradients onto your own, your picture fades into the background.
Gradients are colour scales, so adopting foreign scales would only confine you within their measure.
The result no longer feels like your own — that’s the impostor’s trap.
It’s a way of bracing for failure, a fear-driven sabotage.
As Chano puts it so well: ‘I trip to make the fall shorter’

A KIND OF defines my artistic practice as an attempt to depict a whole through its details. My work consists in a visual dictionary where words turn into abstractions. I purposefully use AI as it struggles with non-literal and symbolic language. My aim is to expose our boundaries with machines, and remind that only a human mind can interpret complex concepts.

/a kind of: “Paradigm” [№001]
———
A typical representation or a set of ideas, acknowledged collectively, providing a lens for interpreting subjects.

The term originates from ancient Greek and meant “to show side by side”

Paradigms should become a series of works which would mainly draw inspiration from scientific illustrations

[№006] Science and Hypothesis — Henri Poincaré (1902)
A philosophical exploration of the foundations of mathematics and science, questioning how much of what we consider scientific truth comes from observation, and how much from conventions of our own making. Poincaré was also one of the pioneers of special relativity, developing ideas that helped lay its mathematical and conceptual foundations.

[№007] Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There — Lewis Carroll (1871)
Alice steps through a mirror into a reversed world governed by strange rules, wordplay, and the logic of a chess game. A mathematician as well as a writer, Carroll structured Alice’s journey around an actual chess problem, with her progression across the board leading from pawn to queen. Lewis Carroll also had a well-documented, and peculiar, ‘fascination’ with young girls, whom he frequently befriended and photographed…

[EXTRAS]
• First edition of Poincaré’s work.
• Series of exploration around Alice and playing cards.

A KIND OF defines my artistic practice as an attempt to depict a whole through details. My work forms a conceptual atlas where words turn into abstractions. I purposefully integrate AI into my process as it struggles with non-literal and symbolic language. By steering it astray, I let unexpected forms emerge, then reconstruct them into meaning. My aim is to expose our boundaries with machines, and remind that only a human mind can interpret complex concepts.
