My Brenda Boo… 💔🕊️

I honestly don’t even know what to say. My best friend’s mom, but she was so much more than that to me. I loved me some Boo. ❤️

So many memories. So much laughter. It was NEVER a dull moment with her. I’m going to miss those random phone calls: “Ashley, where you at? I need you to take me to the store.” 😂 Or “Ashley, stop by the store and get me one of my favorite candy bars.” And you already know she loved her Whatchamacallit and Almond Joy. 😂❤️

I could go on and on about the memories we shared, but this picture says so much about our relationship. The laughter, the love, the craziness… just us being us. ❤️

And I will NEVER forget the first time she met me. She asked Erica, “Is she Haitian?” 😂😂 She was so serious! I told her, “No,” and she kept asking me if I was sure. 😂 Now tell me why from that day forward I became “My Haitian.” 😂😂 And no, Boo didn’t have anything against Haitians, she was just determined to figure out where I came from! 😂

Boo, I love you and I’m going to miss you more than I can put into words. Thank you for every laugh, every phone call, every memory, and for loving me like your own.

My dad means the world to me. He’s the first man who ever loved me, the one who taught me the meaning of strength, resilience, and love. He showed me how to work hard, how to stand tall, and how to believe in myself even when life tried to shake me.

I honestly don’t know what I’d do without him. Just the thought alone is something I can’t fully grasp. But today, I honor him. I cherish him. And I thank God for every moment we still have together.

My granddad had so much life in him and was always a good time. We laid you to rest on yesterday. When I came home to see you last week, the joy that came over your face! I asked you “what’s going on granddaddy”, you responded with “you my girl” and we just laughed. Quera I didn’t expect you to go so soon, but God knew best. When you moved to Tampa we instantly clicked at work. I will never forget that big bright smile, your lit energy lol, us deciding who was getting Tropical Smoothie on a Saturday before work lol, and most of all your free spirit. Thank you for your friendship ❤️. One thing I can say is throughout your battle you never complained and you fought a good fight my girl. I’m thankful we were able to talk one last time 4 days before you passed, you were getting on my case about a few things lol. I know you’re up in heaven riding around in that challenger or jeep you wanted, I’m sure it’s white lol. You truly left your stamp on those that loved you dearly.
