Activedward Is Turning Life’s Hardships Into a Legacy of Art, Entrepreneurship, and Music

Some artists are shaped by opportunity. Others are forged through adversity. For Edward Rubio, better known as Activedward, every challenge he faced growing up became fuel for the success he is building today.

Born and raised in El Centro, California, Activedward's early years were marked by hardship. Rather than allowing those experiences to define his future, he chose to transform pain into purpose, developing a relentless work ethic that would eventually establish him as both a respected entrepreneur and an emerging recording artist.

His first breakthrough came through tattoo artistry. What began as a personal outlet quickly evolved into a profession, leading him to launch Versatile & Riches, a private tattoo studio that has become known for its high-quality craftsmanship and exclusive clientele. Through dedication, consistency, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Activedward has tattooed celebrities, influencers, athletes, and content creators, earning a reputation that extends far beyond Southern California.

"Tattooing became more than a hobby—it became my escape and my purpose," Activedward says. "I put everything I had into mastering my craft because I knew it could change my life."

Yet his ambitions never stopped with entrepreneurship.

After establishing himself in the tattoo industry, Activedward turned his attention to music, entering the Los Angeles scene with the same determination that fueled his business success. His music reflects real-life experiences, personal struggles, ambition, and growth, giving listeners an authentic perspective rather than manufactured stories.

His newest release, "Can I Be Fr," continues to showcase his evolving artistry, blending emotional honesty with a modern sound that resonates with audiences seeking authenticity. The record highlights an artist unafraid to share his journey while continuing to evolve creatively.

For Activedward, success is measured by more than accomplishments.
