After your first wash & retwist with your starter locs… here’s what to expect 🌱

Your locs are entering the budding phase this is when your hair starts the real work of locking.

🌱 You might notice frizz and a puffier look. This is normal and a good sign! It means your strands are tangling and forming your locs from the inside out.

🌱 Your parts won’t stay as crisp as day one. Locs swell a bit between retwists, which can give a more “lived in” look.

🌱 You may even see some loose hairs or unraveling in certain areas. Don’t panic 🚫 that’s part of the journey.

✨ Pro Tip: Avoid over-manipulating your hair, keep it moisturized with the essentials @_acurlsdreamllc and trust the process. You’ll come back for your second retwist and we’ll get you right back together.

Your locs are just getting started ✨ let them breathe, let them grow, and watch the magic happen.✨

My sister @stylezbymoy is approaching her 1-year loc anniversary - a whole year of growth and dedication! 🎉🥳 I'm so proud of her commitment 💯✨. To add shape and fullness, she got a trim. Don't underestimate the power of a little snip
it adds body, removes dead weight, and lets your locs bloom 🌼🌱.

Important note: get a pro (@naturallyvanice) to trim your locs! ✨. Part 2 coming soon - her retwist look is 🔥! 👌🏾😏
