Making of the French Worker’s Coat in Blue Canvas.

Peter is mostly self-taught in clothing design and garment construction. Until recently, he designed and made garments out of his basement apartment.

Peter: I thought it was something that was too hard to learn, it felt fully impossible to even approach. but my friend bought me a sewing machine for my graduation from grad school and I sewed that first seam and havn’t looked back since.

A few months ago @alimsabir messaged me interested in getting a roc for @elizabeth__yip. Being a fan of his work, I asked him if instead of buying one he would be willing to do a trade. I’ve been wanting to share how these rocs are made so we made a process video following their roc.

Each roc is uniquely foraged, carved and assembled. What memories or ideas would you keep on yours?

I’ve never made a public reel before so thought it was finally time. Once again huge love to @_adroc for making music that inspires me to keep creating. The track he created was the reason I started putting this edit together. I’ve had the privilege to work with some of the city’s most talented artists and call them my friends.
