This is an installation by @nuuma_sa, they create minimalistic kitchen designs inspired by nature. Their designs are centered around creating calm, inspiration invoking designs with luxurious detailing. Their design aesthetics offer very clean lines and striking texture effects often through the use of natural stones that keeps the eye going.
My favorite part about this installation is the functionality of the countertop stone used on the island which uses electromagnetic induction, the island then doubles up as a stove through innovative technology which allows for seamless, minimalist kitchen designs by concealing the cooking surface. The top remains cool-to-touch while in use, rendering it safe at all times. The multi-functionality of this island is really what design is about, creating products that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also practical and user-friendly.

TONGUE - By Pierre Paulin

This modern piece of furniture was designed in 1967 by Pierre Paulin in an attempt to create a product more appealing to young people, and do away with the “primitive “ ways of manufacturing chairs, as he called it. This flowing piece kisses the floor in the form of a wave, balancing with the middle section and the tip of the tongue touching the floor. It looks almost like a large, thin sliced crisp straight from the oven placed in the middle of the room. I wonder just how long he observed the structure and nature of an actual tongue to finally come up with this unconventional piece of furniture, I have deliberately left the last image on this slide to keep the imagination running. by @_afrohontas
