1970 Shovelhead. Locked myself in my garage for the last month to build a bike I’ve always wanted. First year cone shovel with all matching numbers and a ratchet top trans in the original frame with a @_krispy.co_ hard tail. 39mm front end I found at a swap meet, extended it 2” and shaved the lowers by hand. I got some risers from @vitzyboys to throw on top. The tail light I made out of a vintage trailer light I found and mounted it to an old trident sissy bar I got from a @templechoppers along with the oil tank. The seat I also got at a swap meet, I chopped and narrowed the passenger section to make it fit the lines better. The tank was a labor of love, I wanted it to be a black bike but if you know me you know I love religious imagery so I hand painted the tank and gave it a bit of patina. There’s some special details like the pegs I got from @fauser who’s bike was the first chopper I’d ever ridden, and the points cover I got from @4th_floor_choppers years ago and have been waiting for the right bike to put it on. I got some info and inspo from friends like @shedcyco but with building any bike, challenging yourself is the best part. It leaks oil every where but it absolutely rips.
