it’s been a great year where 52 of you lovely people (an odd number would be concerning) trusted me with taking your images and immortalising your memories

this is only a few of the frames i captured of claire and zac on black and white film, way more film and digitals to come later

and i simply adore these two. we spent way too long together, went to the pub for a pint after and had an absolute ball. made my time in chicago divine.

I got off a plane, had an hour of poor sleep, and was greeted with a full day of full emotions.

Not just from Dani and Phillip, but from their friends, their family, and the other vendors. A day that encapsulates the parts of my job that I love. Not pleasant, soft smiles but arms out emotion.

I started making zines recently. Arts and crafts are the best. Don’t get hung up on perfection, just have fun with it and make something special with your hands. I could tie this in with my view of marriage and relationships, but that just might be too on the nose.
if you diy yourself your physical media you get to hold blades and sharp things and save yourself some cash. That’s two birds if you ask me. taken in Australia by @_alexanderobrien

there is a level of responsibility that goes beyond ‘doing a good job’ as wedding photographer.

distilled down i believe it comes down to creating evidence of a good life. not an easy life or a smooth life, but a life that is richer for the experiences and relationships collected along the way.
