to our son,
the past 10 months have been nothing short of the fondest and truest form of love. every kick, every hiccup, and every appointment has been cherished so fondly. i’m so emotional knowing i’ll never hold you this close again, but eager to have and to hold an unrequited example of unconditional love. knowing that God had chosen us worthy enough to carry and nurture your precious soul is something we will never take for granted.

it’s so surreal to believe the years i’ve dreamt of being a mommy, it was always you i was dreaming of. i’ve seen my body change in the most unimaginably beautiful ways, knowing i am capable of growing a new love. pregnancy has been incredibly physically demanding, but i would do it a million times over. i’m beyond eager to meet the little life that has already taught me so much. i’ve gained a profound understanding of my strengths and the true ambition to grow each and every day, not just for myself but for my family. i’ve learned that some of the most demanding aspects of my life can produce the most rewarding outcomes. i’ve never felt more beautiful than i have carrying our hearts and our bodies as one.

oh my sweet atlas 🩵🥹

happy very first birthday to the entire reason i exist. as i sob writing this, my heart can’t fathom you already turning one. i’ve never felt a stronger purpose in my life than i have giving you yours.

one year ago today, you made me a mama. in a single moment, you changed everything. you gave meaning to parts of me that had spent a lifetime searching for it. before you, I thought I knew what love was. then I met you, and suddenly every definition I had ever known felt too small.

this year has been filled with a million little moments that seemed ordinary at the time but somehow became the memories I cherish most. i have spent the last 365 days completely in awe of you. watching you grow has been the greatest privilege and greatest heartbreak all at once, because every new milestone means you’re becoming more of your own person and a little less of my tiny baby.

thank you for choosing me. thank you for making me a mother. thank you for giving my life a purpose so beautiful that words will never be enough.

happy first birthday, my sweet boy. no matter how big you get, no matter how many birthdays pass, you will always be my baby.

2025 changed everything.
I didn’t just give birth to my son — I gave birth to a new version of myself.
One shaped by love, patience, and a grace I didn’t know I was capable of carrying.
This year cracked me open in the most beautiful way. It taught me patience, strength I didn’t know I had, and a love so pure it reshaped my entire world. Watching myself become a mother has been just as powerful as watching my son come into this life.
Thank you, 2025, for the sleepless nights, the full heart, the quiet moments, and the overwhelming joy. Thank you for giving me the family of my dreams — and a life I’ll forever be grateful for. i can’t wait to see what the next year holds for our little family🤍 by @_alexisayers
