Over the last six months, I had the unique opportunity to co-write and illustrate a children’s book alongside my friends @lilakrall and @kylie_feilmeier.

Bear’s Big Iowa Adventure follows Bear as she discovers the landscapes and communities that make Iowa feel like home. Through friendship and curiosity, she learns what it means to love your place and find joy in the world just outside your door. Drawing from native Iowa species, real landscapes, and insights from local libraries, this book captures the spirit of the state’s people and places.

We’re incredibly grateful to the ISU faculty who guided us throughout the process and helped us bring this project to life. (@middleofasomewhere)
