🍞 Last week, @discoverwithdasha and I had the opportunity to be a part of the powerful Burning Bread event, organised by UA Beyond, Agrotrade, Felicity Spector, Vandog Agency @uabeyond.uk @kioseviktoriya @yehor_podkydyshev @bidnenkok @today_bread @felicityspector @vandog_agency - and it’s hard to put into words just how special that evening felt. Ukrainian flour traveled over 2,000 miles from frontline territories in the Kharkiv region, brought to London by Agrotrade, where it was baked into something far more than bread. Each loaf carried a story - of resilience, of power, of people who continue to work their land under shelling, through mined fields and under constant threat from drones and missiles. What sounds surreal is, in fact, the everyday reality in Ukraine.This bread is not just food - it is courage, memory and survival. In Ukraine, bread holds deep social meaning. We say that when we share bread with others, we share part of our soul.Throughout the evening, we came together not only to share this experience, but to truly feel it. A powerful short film reminded us of the real cost behind every loaf. We spoke, we listened, we reflected. There was warmth, connection and a deep sense of purpose in the room.Huge thanks to Alex from @today_bread - every single loaf was sold by the end of the night, which says everything. For years, Alex has been actively supporting Ukraine, travelling there many times since the full-scale invasion, baking and sending bread to the frontlines. But beyond the atmosphere, this event mattered because of its impact. We raised awareness, shared real stories, and most importantly, raised funds for Khartia Corps @khartiia_corps - a legendary unit that has been defending Kharkiv since 2022. Supporting them means supporting freedom.Events like this stay with you for a long time. They remind us that even something as simple as bread can carry incredible meaning - and that solidarity, even thousands of miles away, truly matters.Grateful to everyone who showed up, supported and cared 💛💙Big well done to all the organisers! 🇺🇦🇬🇧Beautiful photos by @guycorbishley by @_alisasi_

Деякі проєкти залишаються з тобою назавжди. Цей - «Burning Bread» - саме такий 🫰🏼Усе почалося з простого рішення - підтримати ідею. І з часом воно переросло у щось значно більше за нас - у щось глибоке, справжнє, наповнене сенсом.Затишна лондонська пекарня @today_bread цього вечора була наповнена теплом, м’яким світлом і ароматом свіжоспеченого хліба. Але це був не просто хліб. Його створили з борошна, привезеного з прифронтових територій України компанією Agrotrade @yehor_podkydyshev 🙌🏻І для українців, і для британців стало очевидно: це не просто їжа. Це цінність, пам’ять, спадщина, праця поколінь, символ.Ми показали відео про справжню ціну кожної буханки, яка сьогодні з’являється на полицях українських магазинів. Про фермерів, які працюють під обстрілами й ракетами, розміновують власні поля й не здаються. Вони продовжують не тому, що це легко - а тому, що це їхнє покликання, їхній сенс, їхня любов. І, чесно кажучи, у багатьох на очах були сльози. Бо справжня ціна - надзвичайно висока.Пізніше відбувся аукціон з ексклюзивними лотами, який об’єднав усіх у дуже сильний і щирий спосіб (дякуємо @discoverwithdasha та @alisasi - ви неймовірні ❤️).Так співпало, а можливо, й ні - що саме цього дня була річниця корпусу «Хартія» @khartiia_corps 🙏🏻 Було глибоко символічно передати всі донати саме їм. Ми маємо підтримувати тих, хто бореться за нас. У цьому наша філософія.Один із найтепліших моментів вечора - було продано кожну буханку хліба, до останньої. А вже вночі ми почали отримувати повідомлення від гостей - фото хліба з маслом, із варенням, із медом… І кожне з них викликало щиру усмішку.Бо саме це і було нашою місією - достукатися до сердець.Нагадати, що звичайний хліб, який ми купуємо зранку, дається нашим людям надзвичайно важкою й небезпечною працею - особливо під час цієї війни.Ми щиро вдячні нашим друзям @felicityspector та партнерам @sterlinglawukraine за підтримку 🙏🏻Неймовірно талановитій команді, яка створила візуальну історію цього проєкту @vandog_agency 🥰Pictures 📸 @sovadalufer by @_alisasi_
