Words simply cannot express what happens in this place. Campers arrive, and just three days later, they leave as leaders ready to make a difference in their schools and communities.

How blessed am I to have played even a small part in that transformation over the past two summers. Serving as a small group leader has reminded me that leadership isn’t just about pouring into others. It’s about allowing yourself to grow alongside them. Every camper I met taught me something new, challenged me to become a better leader, and left a lasting impact on my own life.

I’ll forever be grateful for the opportunity to witness lives being changed while mine continues to be changed too.

The most rewarding week!! God gave me two groups and a purpose this week and I’m walking away changed!! Watching these young leaders grow, open up, and cheer each other on reminded me why servant leadership matters!! This is alumni camp!! See you next year!! 💙💛🤟🏻🚂🛶

Art With A Heart!

I was blessed and honored to be paired with Miller! Throughout the night, I learned that learning about the soldiers who fought in WWII helped Miller get through his cancer treatments! He admires the soldiers’ bravery and strength, so he painted one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen! If you ever get a chance to help with AWAH, sign up!!

P.S. - Miller wouldn’t let me throw up a Go Pokes, so we settled on horns down!
