Imbolc, the return of the light. The midway point between Winter Solstice & Spring Equinox. We have made it through the darkest days of winter, and the sun is starting to shine longer. We are still in the dream of winter, but the first stirs of growth beneath the soil begin to take place.

Lightness, clarity and newness begin to make way to bloom with the earth. I hope you are all feeling a fresh energy sweep over you 🪺

Creating with food is my favorite way to celebrate any holy day. It helps me drop into the magic of the season, infuse love and prayers into some beautiful & edible, and feels like the most sacred tangible offering to nature.

I infused Oshala Farm chamomile into my cream on the stove on low heat for about 20 minutes, and then infused in the fridge over night. This morning I strained & whipped into a whipped cream for my pancakes, and then whipped further into a butter to use throughout the month!

I then made lemon poppy seed pancakes, infusing my seeds of intention as I flipped. And lastly made a quick compote with blackberries & maple syrup.

I shared these with my mama in the morning sunlight, and then left a little cake out by the creek as an offering to the elements and of course the Goddess Brigid, Happy Imbolc!

Happy October Witches 🕯️

Each month I create a different herbal tea blend to sync deeply into the unique energy of each month. It usually starts with one plant I know I want to revolve the month around, and I’ll start sipping it daily, and then the other herbs and flavors start to unfold from there. This month is truly one I’ve been most excited about, on an energetic & sensory level- it is so witchy, mystical, sensual and magical.

Last October I started working with Damiana and it changed me deeply. The first time I meditated with her I felt extremely activated and turned on in my body….. she awakened parts of me that had lied dormant for years. I love her beyond words. Sexiest plant for real!!!!!!! Cardamom was something I really wanted to pair with her to attune to fall, which is why dried fig also came in (and also to add a caramel like sweetness). Next full rose buds crept in to evoke the devoted witch energy. I am tempted to add vanilla to every blend I make because it is my favorite way to make every blend more delectable, but when I saw this vanilla bean infused black tea- i thought the slight caffeination and depth of the tea would add to this herbal blend (I usually keep it fully herbal). Anyway, I love her to death, warrior witch mystic veil tender vibes.
