Finding poetry and musings in the late fall mystic void 🕯️

Embodying archetypes from energies I dreamt up, the mossy misty dark caverns of autumn, tended and seen by women across time. Deepening into the release, depths of the well, letting go of everything again. Spiraling into the dark days in surrender and inviting in a greater dream - one from beyond our thinking minds. The time of the year when nature speaks in magic and we can attune our vessels to listen and receive clearly.

This is the time of year I feel like I can finally let go of everything I constantly strive so hard to create. I feel the weight of my destiny lifted off my back, an invitation to pause my becoming and instead shed the skins of who i am entirely. Letting go of who I think I am, what I want, where I’m going. It’s like a deep exhale. It’s time to rest. It’s time to get out of my mind, and tap into something bigger. Let my little animal body sleep and plug my consciousness into the greater universal web. The time when magic and poetry and beauty and wisdom is aplenty and waiting for me to receive.

Happy October Witches 🕯️

Each month I create a different herbal tea blend to sync deeply into the unique energy of each month. It usually starts with one plant I know I want to revolve the month around, and I’ll start sipping it daily, and then the other herbs and flavors start to unfold from there. This month is truly one I’ve been most excited about, on an energetic & sensory level- it is so witchy, mystical, sensual and magical.

Last October I started working with Damiana and it changed me deeply. The first time I meditated with her I felt extremely activated and turned on in my body….. she awakened parts of me that had lied dormant for years. I love her beyond words. Sexiest plant for real!!!!!!! Cardamom was something I really wanted to pair with her to attune to fall, which is why dried fig also came in (and also to add a caramel like sweetness). Next full rose buds crept in to evoke the devoted witch energy. I am tempted to add vanilla to every blend I make because it is my favorite way to make every blend more delectable, but when I saw this vanilla bean infused black tea- i thought the slight caffeination and depth of the tea would add to this herbal blend (I usually keep it fully herbal). Anyway, I love her to death, warrior witch mystic veil tender vibes. June in Tea Club 🕊️

This is maybe my favorite blend I’ve ever made. I truly just woke one morning and this combination of herbs was so clear in my mind. I could taste and feel these plants together and couldn’t wait to blend them. Jasmine was the unplanned addition that I saw at the store and immediately knew her graceful beauty needed to be here as well. This is a dreamy, sensual, beautiful blend that I love dearly. Imbolc foods 🍯

Imbolc is a holy day of celebration. Traditions on these days often include feasting, lighting fires and candles, and honoring an associated archetype or Goddess. Imbolc is for calling back in the Sun, and beginning to light the flame of the coming year. It is traditional to make foods that look like the Sun in order to honor its return. As well as foods that represent the renewal, purification, fertility, and growth of the season. The Goddess Brigid, bringer of Spring, is celebrated and honored on Imbolc. Some call her Keeper of the Sacred Flame, representing creativity, transformation, holding the aspect of fire and light in divine balance. I like to think of her as one who held this ember of fire through the dense winter, and is now honored at this time to expand the flame and re-ignite our spirits into the next season. She is also known for poetry & wisdom, healing & purification, fertility and called the Goddess of Healing Waters and Sacred Wells.

Creating a devotional meal or food is my favorite way to celebrate any holy day. To me, it is important to integrate the traditional themes and food concepts, but in combination with my local seasonal foods.

Citrus (oranges, lemons, grapefruit, blood oranges) -> symbolizes the returning sun

Seasonal Greens (leeks, chard, kale, arugula) -> renewal and vitality

Local Dairy & Honey -> nourishment and sweetness

Pomegranate -> rebirth, transformation, and purification

Winter Warrior Archetype❄️⚔️♥️⚜️🕯️🌙

Before we descend into the rebirth of the year - I am spending my final days embodying my winter archetype that formed this year. During solstice, I kept feeling so moved by this Warrior Goddess theme. The Holy High Priestess. The Dark Goddess. The Ancient Femme. The Death Doula. This embodiment of deeply protective power. Going deep into the shedding of winter is where we allow ourselves to dissolve into the great mystery. We enter the dark days of the year with the intention of reflection, so that we may review our year and the lessons it has held for us. It is the time to release the ways of existing, patterns of thoughts, limiting beliefs, and dense emotions from our physical, emotional, and energetic bodies. We do rituals of release, to free the stagnation of the year. And we enter portals of rest, so that the lessons and new ways of being we have learned are in our highest favor, can download into our bodies.

I have brought in this archetype to empower me in my shedding and shadow work of this deep and dense time of year. Inviting in the protection of Warrior Goddess, to safe guard my energy and my heart as I journey deep into my wounds and triggers, giving me the strength to see all for its truth, without judgment, and to have the power to shine light on all the ugly and scary unknown, so that it can be integrated. In these final days of deep winter, I find myself craving the final rituals of shedding, needing extra time to journal and reflect on my previous year, so that all of the lessons can be brought to light. With the snowy blizzard outside my window, cradled in my nook of candle light, I dump out any remaining thoughts from the cycle of 2024, and burn them in my flame. Allowing a final shedding to take place, before I descend fully into the embryotic state or rebirth. by @earth.pace
