We built an app!!!

Earlier this year, we kicked off a massive project to build the best way to experience everything @wired has to offer — from news to audio to video, with a lot more exciting features coming soon.

This was a true collaboration across teams at WIRED and Condé Nast. Huge shoutout to dream collaborator @elizabethacruickshank for leading the design charge, with lots of support from @pcwrobertson and Max Barker. @veronicadesouza and @kachua on the WIRED side. Ross Arbes for herding all of the cats. And the many, many, MANY others who helped make this happen. (These were just the folks I tormented most over Slack 😇)

@wired is launching a festival of the future: The WIRED World Fair is coming to Miami for its inaugural year! We’re going to talk to dolphins, transport to the Moon, meet the future of humanoid robotics, hold big tech accountable, push AI to the limits, explore liminal states of consciousness and spend a lot of time hyperanalyzing Elon Musk. (+ lots lots more)

This was an incredibly fun (and daunting!) branding project, and I loved watching the whole thing come together. Huge shout out to @adamrgarcia for conceiving this wild system, @daniel_pow for making it all work online (and for all the late nights and early mornings getting us there), @florencepak and @hebaelmasry for turning all of these ideas into something physical (it’s going to be sick), and @jobannymusic and @okeeffesam for being the WIRED support system throughout it all! Honorable mention to @abbr.projects for the latest addition to WIRED’s type family, WIRED Sans, proudly on display throughout this project.

BRAAAAAAAINS! In August, we explored some fascinating corners of human (and animal) intelligence—from octopus arms and the surprising ways they think, to scientists using human brain cells to power computers, and a lot more in between. Turns out, the more we learn about brains, the weirder they get.

The latest issue of WIRED tackles everyone’s favorite low-stress topic: forced AI adoption in the workplace and the looming possibility that we all become redundant!!!!!

To ease the transition, we created the WIRED Global AI Principles for a Better Human Workforce™ (yes, the webinar is mandatory).

I’d call this a passion project, but it’s probably more accurate to say we’re all trying to stay one step ahead of our future AI managers. Anyway!!!

WORK. PLAY. OBEY. 23 reasons we’re already living in the Chinese century.

We dismantled our standard issue format and rebuilt it as a three-chapter special edition focused on China’s technological rise. Online, we expanded the story into a single epic landing page packed with interactive moments and bells and whistles. (One of my favorite builds to date!!!)

Was 2025 the best year of my life? Getting engaged to this guy and planning a wedding has been *so* fun (knock on wood nothing goes sideways, but honestly… wedding planning kind of rocks?)

To close out the year, we somehow squeezed in an engagement shoot with @jeffthatcher.photography in DTLA right before the holidays—and wow!! I’m obsessed with these photos and how Jeff captured our ~vibe~
