If you would have told the girl who started this journey years ago that she would be standing on the Miss Illinois County Fair stage this weekend, she wouldn’t just be excited—she would be overwhelmed with joy.

For a long time, I carried this dream in my heart, through seasons of hope and seasons of deep uncertainty. Today, I came home with a heart that is overflowing, finally understanding that God wasn’t making me wait; he was making me ready.

I am incredibly honored to have been awarded the Stage Presence award. To me, this is so much more than an award. It represents the confidence I’ve worked so hard to build and the joy I felt finally getting to shine in the moment I had prayed for for so long. It was a reminder that when you show up as your authentic self, people truly see you.

In years past, I’ll be honest… I struggled. I questioned if this title or this moment was ever going to be part of God’s plan for me. I wondered if I was chasing a dream that wasn’t meant to be mine. But in the quiet moments of prayer, I felt led to keep going. I realized this weekend that God’s delays are not His denials. He was shaping my character for a moment only He could see.

“The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.” — Psalm 138:8

This was a weekend I will hold in my heart forever. It wasn’t just about a competition; it was about the beautiful realization that His timing is always, always worth the wait.💖✨ by @_amandabrink
