This song means ever so much to me. I actually wrote it over two years ago with @markzitomusic and it was always on my list of songs to finish. You are a wonderful guitarist and writer mark & you have helped me craft some of my best stuff, especially on what’s coming next for the Ormellaverse. A huge big thank you also to my bestie @mateykay for producing my music so beautifully as always - I don’t know where I’d be without you! 🤍

Life’s about to get a whole lot sweeter.

As I believe a lot of us have been experiencing, screens are well and truly dampening our souls… and it’s showing. I was originally planning on going from 0-100 and not really tell anyone that I’m moving towards a more analogue life, but if it were me, I’d read a post like this and find it super encouraging - so here we are folks 🫡

My executive dysfunction as a fellow ADHDer has reached its limits from constant doom scrolling and comparison, and since I don’t have a normal job, I have a lot of (unintentional) free time and a lot of that free time is spent on the couch scrolling or watching tv as I’m usually too frozen to do anything else. I genuinely feel embarrassed when people ask what I’ve been up to. But executive dysfunction is real people and some days my brain just won’t let me do anything, so I often result to the most mind numbing thing I can find: screens.

I’ve been toying with this idea on and off for a few years but I always find obstacles that ultimately have me saying, “yeah, but how am I going to get around without maps!?!?”. WORK IT OUT. There’s (usually) always ways around obstacles like these, it’ll just bit a bit sucky and take longer probably.

Anyway, that’s me for now. I’ll still have my account because I ofc want to keep sharing my music on here! But I’m hoping I will only be on here a couple days a month. So BIG love to all of you and I hope this encourages you to take some steps towards less screen time x by @_ameliamagdalena

In case you missed it, ‘Pruning Season’ is the final single before my 3rd EP drops 🤍 It’s been a lovely slow few months, growing, learning and figuring out what’s most important in life - and I think music has really helped me flourish in ways I never thought possible.. so I hope you enjoy this little tune and will touch base soon with more songs! by @_ameliamagdalena

I have a sneaky new single for you today - it’s called (in your arms) and I wrote it while on a mini birthday/music retreat out in the countryside back in April 🍂The essence of the song kind of explains itself but I think what I love most is its simplicity and how it seemed to capture the warmth of our time away in such a gosh dang stunnin place

I also want to introduce my next EP artwork which was painted by the beautiful @eleonora___rinaldi 🤍

Another little tune to play while going about your day 🦋 I fell into a bit of a rut the past couple of months trying to figure out what music meant to me and what I wanted it to look like going forward. I think I’m slowly working towards what that is, but for now I just want to create beautiful songs for people to sink into and this song ‘Chrysalis’ is a good reminder that everything is constantly changing and you can reinvent yourself any day of the week if you so please. I am BACK to you with a new song filled with wonder and delight - it’s called ‘Where I Belong’ and it’s of course a love song because I just got married and as if that wouldn’t inspire me to write a song like this 🐸

I really hope you enjoy this little number. I’m so proud of it and feel so connected and at peace when I listen to it, which is what I hope you feel too! Enjoy my friends 🤍

It is here! ‘what do you long for?’ completes my second EP 🤍 It feels kind of weird putting these songs out because lately I’ve been very blessed with so much love and community - along with feeling v grounded and content that it’s made it easy to forget how I felt during the moments I was writing these songs… but I guess that’s the cool thing about music, with each EP or album, it kind of cements what you were going through during those few months (or years) while in the making of it.

Anyway… I hope you take can the time to have a little geeze at my new track and tell me what you think? I love hearing from all of you 🐸
