leaving my dream school is something i never thought i’d do, and honestly one of the hardest decisions i’ve had to make. lca gave me friendships, memories, love, growth, and a community that shaped such a huge part of my freshman year. even through the struggles, i wouldn’t change a single second of it or the people i met along the way. friday nights, chapel, my friends, and all the little moments in between will always mean so much to me.

but deep down, i truly believe God is calling me somewhere different. somewhere uncomfortable, somewhere unexpected, and somewhere i can continue to grow into the person He’s creating me to be. i believe He’s leading me to lhs for a reason, not only to better myself and pursue the medical program, but to spread His love and His word in places that may need it most.

this isn’t goodbye forever, and this love will never change. i’m forever grateful for every person who made lca feel like home. thank you for the memories, the laughs, the prayers, the friendships, and the love. i’ll miss my people more than words can explain, but i know in my heart this is the right decision and i’m trusting God through every step of it 🤍 by @_ameliareed1

proverbs 3:5-6
“trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
i used to think i knew what was best for me and follow how i felt, but god has been teaching me that obedience is trusting him even when it does not make sense. when i poured my heart out to him this weekend, he met me there and showed me where i needed to change, not to shame me but because he loves me. choosing to submit to him has brought me so much peace, and i can see now how he was protecting me the whole time. i am so thankful he cared enough to guide me back and save me from going my own way. 🌟🧡🙌🏼🏆#orangecobras #champions taken in Camp Istrouma by @_ameliareed1
