I am so proud of what we accomplished at @longmanandeagle yesterday. It was an incredible show of solidarity, backed by our managers, our chefs, our restaurant and our community. We met our fundraising goal! Thank you to every single person who contributed! This is part of a long, proud history of organizing. Striking, especially for a collective cause, cannot be done without the help of the community for people living paycheck to paycheck. It means so much to us that Chicago and Longman had our back. Expelling ICE from Chicago (and the world) is an issue that affects all of us. Stopping this fascist goon squad is bigger than us, bigger than our workplace, bigger than our city. It’s hard to find our power as service industry workers in this collective struggle bc of the unique challenges we face. But we also have a voice and a responsibility to find unique solutions, especially bc immigrant rights are so intertwined with food and beverage. We are *nothing* without our immigrant coworkers and their families. Their fight is our fight. When we chose to strike, we did so with that in mind. Yesterday was just the beginning. Let’s continue to lead the charge. We’re going to win. Solidarity forever. ICE OUT! #GENERALSTRIKE #solidaritywithminneapolis

Another trip around the sun
For my bestest number one
To have a friend like you is grand
I’ll always hold your tiny hand
I’ll be with you forever more.
We’ll go to the Verizon store.
So all aboard the party bus.
We love you dearly, so toast we must
And say to you, our little buddy,
This tiki drink is very slutty
We raise a glass to all you are
Be we near or be we far.
We love you Karl, it’s deep you see,
To us all, you’re family.
So see you at the golden nugget,
Or get the flight on klarna, fuck it.
Happy birthday, to my best gal,
In every lifetime I’ll be your pal. taken in Friendship World by @_animalia_

Thankful for my beautiful sisters and one of the highlights of my year: seeing Missy Elliott live. Swipe to the end to see me lose my shit when she touches my hand. taken in Sock It to Me by @_animalia_

Hi! I’m having a birthday thing at @easydoesitchicago on Wednesday 9/25 at 7 pm!
Red is my favorite color, so I’m planning on wearing it and would love it if you did too. I’m also going to bring red snacks of all kinds. You are welcome to bring some too if you want. But more than anything just bring yourself.

Huge thank you to @precious888moments for immortalizing me in the animation style of Anna Nicole, one of my eternal muses who always looked fab, especially in red.
