POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Thursday night was the Girl Winter world premiere in Salt Lake and I’m left feeling many things. Awe! Honor! Vulnerability! But most of all, excitement for the change these stories represent. Each and every film made me feel what great ski movies should: like I’m a giddy n’ inspired lil’ gorl again.

I’m so grateful that our little underdog film is part of the lineup. It will never not feel weird to be in front of the camera, but I’m too busy pinching myself to care.

Thank you to all the ladies at @moonrise.create for making us Butta Dawgs feel like baby birds cradled in warm, supple hands.

I bet the Girl Winter tour is coming to a city near you, and you would be a FOOL not to engage with these soulful, narrative-driven, nuanced, fabulous films. Go get your tickets, cause it's GIRL WINTER, BABY!! taken in Salt Lake City, Utah by @_annnalisee

Meet TREW To You Team: 'Butta Dawgs'!

Based out of Durango, Colorado, the Butta Dawgs are on a quest for the 'Butta,' the source of eternal fame, power, and glorious steeze. Their film, "Theory of Butta," follows two rambunctious gals, Maddie Gerritsen (@maddie_gerritsen) and Analise Gates (@_annnalisee), lovingly known as the Butta Dawgs themselves. Carried by bikes, rafts, skis, and grit, their search for the 'Butta' helps them discover the true spirit of adventure.

The ethos of the Butta Dawgs isn't about the expectation of the journey, but rather, the joy of the journey itself. They want you to grab your friends and plan an adventure in the mountains, and they'll inspire that feeling with absurdist humor, an important mode of communication in these trying times.

Behind the camera, Team Butta Dawgs is equal parts flying by the seat of their pants and getting the job done, with cackles of laughter and inside jokes that will be repeated till they die. Directed, filmed, and edited by @brynnemower, filmed by @nilsoaberg, and starring skiers @maddie_gerritsen and @_annnalisee, this TREW To You original film was shot in the San Juan Mountains outside of Silverton, CO.

This week, the Butta Dawgs embarked on a multi-day & multimodal quest in the high country in search of the infamous ‘Butta’ for S4 of Trew to You @trewgear

This work of cinema needs to incubate until the fall, but in the meantime, enjoy our behind the scenes rat b*tch behavior.

I am eternally grateful for my #1 Butta Dawg and best chum @maddie_gerritsen, feminism’s greatest ally and the strongest lad @nilsoaberg, and our beacon of light/creative mastermind/director @brynnemower

The trewest (hehe) gift of all has been sharing an adventure with dear friends in this oh-so-special area of the world. More to come soon.

Godspeed,

Baby Butta (aka “Analise”) taken in Durango, Colorado by @_annnalisee
