Wir freuen uns, dass Antonello Papagno in diesem Jahr erstmals beim Musicalsommer Fulda auf der Bühne stehen wird.

Der Italiener war zuletzt in "Malle Olé" und "Hercules - Das Musical" zu sehen. Zuvor trat er u.a. im Disneyland Paris und auf verschiedenen Kreuzfahrtschiffen auf.

Spukt in diesem Tier der Teufel? – Zumindest können wir festhalten, dass dieser Schimmel die
Welt des Übernatürlichen mit der Welt des Realen auf der Bühne auf beeindruckende Weise
verschmilzt. Als Reittier und in seiner Bewegungsqualität realistisch, dabei zugleich ätherisch-leichtfüßig und transparent entfaltet diese überlebensgroße Puppe ihre ganz eigene Magie.

Dass das Puppenspiel für die Gesamtwirkung der Inszenierung nicht nur ein Mehrwert, sondern
unentbehrlich wird, ist der Expertise und dem besonderen Einsatz verschiedener Akteure
zu verdanken.

Die Jury des Deutschen Musical Theater Preises 2026 zeichnet mit ihrem Sonderpreis daher eine ganze Gruppe von Akteuren aus, für ihre besonderen Leistungen beim
Puppendesign, bei der Puppenregie und beim Puppenspiel.

Der Sonderpreis der Jury 2026 für die Darstellung des Schimmels in „Der Schimmelreiter“ geht an:
• den Puppet-Designer Roger Titley,
• den Puppenregisseur Markus Schabbing
• Stefano Francabandiera als Puppetier Captain und -spieler
• und als Puppenspieler Christopher Dederichs, Tobias Korinth, Antonello Papagno, Robin
Scheel und Lars Wandres.

I am thrilled to announce my next contract:

at @metronomtheater in Oberhausen as Ensemble!

Bringing this show alive in a new version, so looking forward!!

Ciao a tutti, spero stiate bene. ❤️

Questo è un post un po’ diverso dal solito.

Volevo semplicemente condividere con voi un episodio non molto piacevole, successo qualche giorno fa durante il mio ultimo contratto, che mi ha lasciato molto scosso.

Non farò nomi. Racconterò solamente ciò che è successo e il modo in cui è avvenuto.

29 AGOSTO — PRIDE DAY A FULDA 🌈

Una piccola città nel centro della Germania.

Una mattina e una giornata piene di orgoglio, amore e felicità. Ho partecipato alla parata insieme ad alcuni miei colleghi, prima di recarmi a lavoro per un altro double show day.

La mia idea era semplicemente quella di sventolare una bandiera arcobaleno alla fine dello show, poco prima di uscire dal palco.

Durante la parata ho ricevuto uno sticker arcobaleno e ho pensato: perché non indossarlo sul mio costume durante gli inchini?

Non l’avessi mai fatto.

Prima di salire sul palco, uno dei miei colleghi, accortosi dello sticker, cambia completamente espressione e mi sbuffa davanti.

Non ci faccio molto caso.

Sono molto felice del gesto che sto per fare. In quel momento sto semplicemente rappresentando tutta la mia comunità in un giorno così speciale.

Finiamo gli inchini. Molti dei miei colleghi rimangono felicemente sorpresi dal mio gesto e anche la reazione del pubblico è molto positiva.

SUBITO DOPO LO SHOW

Il mio collega si dirige verso il nostro Resident Director, che è gay e sposato con un uomo.

Invece di venire a parlare direttamente con me — cosa che pensavo sarebbe stata l’atteggiamento più corretto, anche perché so di aver sbagliato a non chiedere anticipatamente a nessuno e non avevo la minima idea che un gesto così semplice potesse generare reazioni di questo tipo — viene scritto un messaggio nel gruppo del cast:

gli inchini fanno ancora parte dello spettacolo e qualsiasi cosa “extra” non è ammessa.

Un messaggio apparentemente generale, ma molto personale e chiaramente diretto a me.

Ci rimango male.

Sono incredulo, soprattutto perché qualcuno era andato a “fare la spia” e non mi aspettavo che potesse essere proprio quel collega con cui avevamo legato, soprattutto considerando le cose che facevamo insieme durante lo show.

🌊 DER SCHIMMEL REITER 🌊

New world production.
Don’t know why I’ve waited so long to post about these past weeks and months and this new beautiful working and life experience.

This show came unexpectedly in my life and brought so MANY new challenges, moments of discouragement and new skills I didn’t know I was capable of! (well, kind of lol)
Yes, I’m one of the horse team, the middle one to be honest and it’s so interesting to make Alive an horse every night.

We’re halfway our run here in Fulda, you better come to see this production ‘cause is simply AMAZING!
The show itself, the CAST, the voices, the music, the stage, the visual effects, the puppet, the costumes!!

Thank you @peter_scholz_fulda_ for the trust ed un grazie speciale a @marta.digiulio per avermi portato qui. 🫶🏻

My personal journey with @hercules_das_musical ⚡️🏛️

Molti non sanno che all’inizio non ero stato selezionato per il cambio cast di Hercules ad Amburgo.
Dopo 2 mesi mi arriva la chiamata. Non inaspettata, di più. Ero letteralmente uscito dalla doccia, in accappatoio. Non potevo crederci.
La mia vita sarebbe cambiata di nuovo, i miei piani stravolti.
Il mio più grande sogno che si stava per avverare.
Dirlo ai miei amici vicini e lontani è stata una delle cose più emozionanti.
Condividere le mie vittorie con colleghi, amici e la famiglia, con chi sa quanto dire e atroce può essere questo lavoro.

Da lì in poi è iniziata l’esperienza personale e professionale più tosta, stressante ma gratificante di sempre.
3 minuti non basteranno mai a racchiudere tutto quello che ho vissuto.
GRAZIE Hercules.

Qui per dire che a volte anche un rifiuto iniziale può trasformarsi in una gioia immensa. E già la seconda volta che mi capita personalmente.
Non succede…ma SE succede…
Quello che ci aspetta sulla nostra strada arriverà prima o poi. Forse a volte ci mette solo un po’ più di tempo.

Many people don’t know that at first, I wasn’t selected for the Hercules cast change in Hamburg.
Then, two months later, I got the call — not just unexpected… completely out of the blue.
I had just stepped out of the shower, still in my bathrobe. I couldn’t believe it.
My life was about to change again, and all my plans turned upside down.
My biggest dream was coming true.
Telling my friends, near and far, was one of the most emotional moments ever.
Sharing my wins with colleagues, friends and family — with those who know how brutal and beautiful this job can be — meant the world to me.

From that moment on, it became the most intense, stressful, yet rewarding personal and professional experience I’ve ever had.
Three minutes will never be enough to capture everything I’ve lived.
THANK YOU HERCULES!!

What’s meant for you will find its way, maybe it just takes a little longer sometimes.

Here we go.
LAST BOW AT @hercules_das_musical ⚡️

113 Shows.
8 tracks.
3837294 mental breakdowns.

I don’t know where to start or what to say exactly.
I am beyond grateful for what I experienced in the past months.
It was kinda short, but SO intense.

My first Musical theatre.
My first time being a Swing.

The way it happened, the way it changed my life, my point of view of being a dancer, a better dancer, a better performer, a better human being.
Connecting with myself, with the outstanding cast I’ve had, realizing being ‘perfect’ on stage is not possible.

There will be so many other things to say, the people I’ve met, who supported me and made me go through this journey since day one. For all those moments when I felt like this job was bigger than me and I wouldn’t be able to finish the way I wanted.

I did it.
We did it.
