It’s something we don’t always notice.

But we live in a world surrounded by it.
When you’re editing a video, sometimes the smallest changes can make the biggest difference.

Sound design is one of those changes.
Even just adding a few layers of ambience can take something from simply being a video to actually feeling like an experience.
As always, all sound effects are from the insane library over at Ocular Sounds. Big thanks to all the homies who helped film this one 🙌🏽

What does this place mean to you?

Back in the spring, Outin asked me to make a video focused on the outdoors and human connection. I phoned up my friends Oli and Ash, and we travelled to the coast of BC to film this short piece for them.

This was the first in a series of four videos, and I’m excited to slowly start releasing them :)

The beauty of Canada.

The more I’ve travelled, the more I’ve come to realize that home might be the most beautiful place on Earth. These are a few of my favourite frames I’ve captured here over the years.

The beauty of Nepal.

We spent two weeks here, from navigating the crazy streets of Kathmandu to hiking the peaceful mountain ridges of the Himalayas. There’s something almost mystical about this country that’s hard to put into words.

Easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.

It’s been over a year now since what is still, to this day, my favourite adventure I’ve ever been on.

Honestly, there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about it. The mountains, the people, our horses… so many special moments.
If there’s one place I’d recommend anyone travel to, it’s Kyrgyzstan.

Hiking through the wild landscape of Peru

I can confidently say that this place has the wildest looking mountain landscape I’ve ever seen. Each mountain is more unique than the last and if you mix that with the friendly Alpacas, it quickly becomes one of my favourite hiking destinations in the world.

The People of Sri Lanka.
We spent 3 weeks travelling around Sri Lanka, exploring the jungles, cities, and so much more of this incredibly country. But no matter where we went, one thing always stayed the same - the people.

Almost everyone would invite us in, ask where we were from, and want to share something about their beautiful country.

When I first started this journey, I considered myself a hybrid shooter, splitting my focus 50/50 between photography and videography.

But over the past year, I’ve shifted more towards filmmaking—which honestly made it tough to keep progressing in photography.

That said, I’ve always loved the simple beauty of taking a photo and freezing a moment in time. I’m hoping to find a way to balance these two art forms in the coming years.✌🏽 by @_antonhugo

We spent 14 days exploring and horseback riding through the remote mountains of Kyrgyzstan.
I’ll be putting together a YouTube video in the upcoming months but for now here are just a few of my favourite clips from this incredible trip.

Huge thanks to Ibraim for organizing this adventure.

The craziest adventure of my life.

6 months ago I got a call from my friend Dan to go on a horseback ride through the mountains of Kyrgyzstan.
I’d never been to this side of the world, never rode a horse, and at the time it made no sense for me to go.
I just finished the YouTube video of our journey here. Link in bio.
