Young artist on the rise who knew how to stand out from the musical limits of his country. Jorge Cebrián aka Åre:gone, from Havana, Cuba, is
positioned among the first lines of contemporary Techno. With almost 10 years of experience, he has transited through various expressions of
the genre, standing out for his characteristic groovy, organic and Cuban touch.
In 2017 he founded with a group of friends the Rusty Nails collective, a space to promote the underground techno culture poorly known at
that time in his country. Standing out for his long and liked sessions, which led him to gain the respect of the national public. Helping to build
the solid foundations of what today is the Cuban techno scene. In 2022, he co-founded, together with other artists of national renown, what is
today the Vortice. The collective has become the main pillar of the national scene.
His last Ep released on the Mexican label Anaøh, positioned him on the top of the sales charts of the most important digital stores.
International artists such as Ben Sims, DVS1, just to mention a few, have played his music in the most important clubs and festivals of the
international techno scene such as Berghain, Tresor among others.

We are proud to present a new release from Are:gone, a young artist on the rise who has successfully pushed beyond the musical boundaries of his home country. Originally from Havana and now based in Florida, the producer continues to gain recognition for a distinctive approach that merges hypnotic Techno with strong rhythmic identity and deep groove-focused structures.

Over the past years, he has continued to attract attention through releases on respected imprints such as Mind Medizin, Evilgroove, and Mammboh Rhythms, steadily building a reputation as one of the emerging names to watch within the new generation of underground Techno artists. This release marks his debut EP on the label, following his previous contribution to our Deported Series: Thirteen V.A. compilation.

Titled Kalapa, the EP marks another important step in his artistic journey and showcases a refined yet energetic sound palette. Built around percussive elements, Latin-rooted rhythms, hypnotic textures, and driving grooves, the release delivers an immersive experience designed equally for intense dancefloor moments and deep listening sessions. The EP features four carefully crafted cuts, each exploring different shades of tension, movement, and atmosphere while maintaining a cohesive sonic direction throughout. With this release, Are:gone further confirms his growing presence within the contemporary Techno scene.

FROM RUSTY NAILS TO VÓRTICE — THROUGH PARÁLISIS

VIERNES 29 Mayo
10pm - 6am

No hubo escena.
No hubo estructura.
No hubo permiso.

Solo una necesidad: hacer que el sonido existiera.

Desde los espacios más crudos, Rusty Nails abrió una grieta en la ciudad.
Un impulso primitivo, oxidado, resistente.
Ahí donde todo era límite, comenzó el movimiento.

Luego vino la transición.
El momento donde lo local se tensó hacia lo global.
Parálisis no fue pausa — fue umbral.
Un punto de quiebre donde la escena respiró hacia afuera
y el mundo comenzó a mirar hacia adentro.

Y después, la expansión.
El sonido dejó de pertenecer a unos pocos.
Se volvió cuerpo colectivo.
Vórtice transformó la energía en comunidad,
llevando lo que nació en la sombra hacia la intensidad compartida.

Tres fuerzas.
Tres momentos.
Una misma construcción.

Esto no es solo una celebración.
Es un cierre.
Un reconocimiento.
Una última convergencia.

Por primera vez — y por última —
los tres proyectos que definieron la evolución del techno en Cuba
se encuentran en un mismo espacio.

No como pasado.
Sino como legado vivo.
