Dear 2021…
There’s so much to say. You’ve broke me down and lifted me up. You’ve took many things away from me but opened me up to new opportunities. You’ve gave me fear, hurt, trauma but yet you gave me strength, love, guidance. This year has definitely been a tough; but thanks to the people that you kept around I was able to keep going. In Nov. 2020 my sister passed away. This was definitely one of the toughest battles I had to face this year by far. The anger, hurt, confusion, denial, loneliness, etc. has been a huge set back. I not going to lie, I did lose myself in the process but towards the end of the year I felt as if I made progress. I finally was able to think about my sister without my heart shattering. I did go back to school this year. I got to travel. I met many new amazing people this year. I was able to pick myself back up after I’ve been at my lowest. 2021 I thought you was going to be the death of me but no. I will keep pushing and I will thrive and succeed. I have big dreams! Many plans! People to prove wrong! I need to prove myself wrong. So, 2021… it’s been real…VERY REAL. But it’s time to let you go and move on. It’s time for me to shine and know my purpose in this world. I’m wishing… hoping... 2022 is full of positivity, success, accomplishments, lessons, and etc. On that note, Ariah; you did great this year. You might’ve not heard it a lot but you stayed strong. You kept going and that’s all I ever ask for you to do. Never give up. Travel. Travel. Travel. Many things will come.. very soon!

P.S. Happy New Year🥂🥳

Sincerely, Ariah D. Smith💕
