As a first time committee member this year, being part of the entire organizing of this race was pretty special.

For the last 13 years, I’ve always focused on representing my team, but being asked to be a part Life;Story’s Committee, to be a Community Engagement Organizer & Voice, it provided me insight in a different way. The monthly (and then weekly) Zoom Calls, the responsibilities of my contributions to this event, and having a chance to even attend a VIP invite only sponsorship gala to be a part of the networking and recruitment of more donations, while also hoping to bring light to mental illness, was such a privilege that I do not take for granted.

I am a firm believer that every single person, myself included, struggles with mental illness in some form and having the opportunity to channel that energy into an event that is so near and dear to my heart, is something that I felt so privileged to have invited to be a part of.

I am so thankful for my village of people that show up every single year, that love me and hold space for every single person in our life that we have lost to suicide. Check on your people, spread kindness, and always choose your words wisely, because you never know when it will be the last one you say to somebody.

Life is short, love your people hard 🩵🤍💜

We had the privilege of being invited to @centerstonehealth #BeforeTheDawn & had the most beautiful time commemorating this annual event.

We’ve had the honor of attending the #LifeStory5K for the last 13 Years to honor our beloved Bub, and are grateful to continue telling his story. Thank you Centerstone for the opportunity and privilege, we are so grateful.

Shoutout to my best friend/Dad & my baby cousin Xynethia for being my +1 tonight , you’ve been there since Day 1 and always show up to support me year after year (extra early with my setup, staying late to help with breakdown, and everything else in between); I cannot imagine sharing this moment with anyone else. I am so blessed to have both of you in my corner! 🩵🤍💜🫶

A time was had at the @dakindairyfarms today 🙌

We had a first look into the entire milk extraction process from beginning to end, learned how brilliant our local cows 🐄 are, had the opportunity to make (and eat) our own homemade butter 🧈, had a sample of the best chocolate milk ever 😋, snuggle (and get a kiss 💋) from the sweetest cow, feed a mini donkey, and enjoy one of the best Italian sandwiches ever 👏

This trip was so much fun while simultaneously informative, it allowed you to truly appreciate our little local gem that is this super special farm, while also having the best time. If you haven’t had a chance to spend a morning out there, you need to plan a trip ASAP to support your local farmers ☝️ we can’t wait to go back !

Shoutout to the guides for the tour who were SO sweet, helpful (extremely patient) and just the best ladies ever, their kindness today made the entire adventure so special 🩶 🖤 🐮 💛🤍
