95% of salespeople are terrible 🇺🇸

The good ones start at $200K to $300K base. A bad SDR at $20K gets you nothing.
A great sales rep is a revenue driver, not a cost center.

A mid-US engineer makes more 💰 than a French CEO

A software engineer in New York or San Francisco costs $400K to $600K.
That is not a senior. That is just a good engineer.
In Europe that is more than most CEOs make.

In the US, founders sell before they build a single thing. 🇺🇸

In France, execution gets lost in perfectionism and details.

The difference in speed is insane.

Americans collect cash on an idea while French teams move like snails trying to avoid mistakes.

In USA, everyone sues everyone 🇺🇸⚖️

Rent is insane here partly because anyone can sue anyone for anything.
Lawsuits are a business model. Legal fees are astronomical.

And people actually make money doing it.

France pays people to do nothing 🇫🇷💸

In the US you get fired and you move.
In France you get fired and you relax until something comes up.

The safety net is real but it kills the urgency.

🇫🇷 France counts pennies 🥖
🇺🇸 USA prints millions 💰

In the US a $50K decision happens on a WhatsApp call.
In France it takes months.

Same money. Completely different mindset.

Americans don’t have friends 🇺🇸❌ (part. 2)

When people ask what I do for a living, I tell them I sell diapers. Best ones on the market. Regulates your temperature and everything.

Nobody asks for introductions after that.
Everything in the US is transactional. Everything.

Americans don’t have friends 🇺🇸❌

Every coffee meeting in the US is transactional. What can I get from you?

🇫🇷 In France, relationships are real. In America, everyone wants something.
