As an artist in Germany, I belong to what one calls a Quereinsteiger — someone who changes from one field to another. In my case, this is both true and not quite true. On the one hand, I studied art as my primary occupation from the age of six to sixteen. Then I studied architecture. So, in a way, I am a mix of the two, and recently I have come to realise just how much my architectural background influences my art practice — and vice versa. 
These seven photographs from my recent show, THINGS I DO NOT TALK ABOUT, are not only documentation. They are also about the idea of art living and breathing together with the viewer, where each participant creates — and becomes part of — a new piece of art through their presence. It is something that relates to the notion of placemaking in the urban field, which brings me back to the notion of trust I search for in both my artistic and spatial practices, and something I will zoom in on more in the upcoming October.  
During this show, I was also curious to experiment with cross-media collaborations and to see how the space would change according to the programme of the two evenings. One night, we had an evening of poetry and live music, which transformed the exhibition space into something intimate. On the second night, the energy was buzzing and spilling beyond the room, before softly turning into a different kind of experience: art viewing under my favourite source of light — the one in your pocket. 
I am deeply grateful to every person who came over, with whom we shared a moment or two, and who opened doors into new art spaces. At the same time, these encounters became part of a learning curve for me — understanding how we connect and relate to each other, and how art can serve as a powerful platform for this. 
This glass of homemade plum liquor is for you, and for the next meetings, which I am already working on. Because I am convinced that art is life, and it needs to keep flowing.

Last week, I was honoured to join the conversation How Can Art Become a Tool for Transformation? upon the invitation of Masterpieces for Good. I am grateful to Anjali, who sent me a cheat sheet to help me prepare for my presentation. Among the set of questions I was invited to answer, the final one caught my attention, so I built my story around it. In this carousel, you will find my answer to the question “If art helps us imagine, what kind of world are you trying to create?” You will also find my own question at the heart of this story, as well as a detail from my recent artwork, which bears the title of the word I offer as my answer to the world I am trying to create. I would be happy to hear your questions and thoughts — and to hear where you feel you need more trust in your day-to-day life, both inside and outside the office. Серед запитань, на які мені запропонували відповісти, останнє особливо привернуло мою увагу, тож саме навколо нього я й побудувала свою розповідь. Inspired by the performance by @cithuezo and @lo_hertz_ during the launch of the @xok.collective *Célula* exhibition at the Mexican Embassy in Germany. Congratulations to all the artists, and many thanks to @guillermo_delgado_de_ita for the invitation. Included in the carousel is a piece by Alberto Delgado de Ita that caught my eye due to its connection to the themes of waves and water—subjects I have been exploring in my own work over the last few months.
